“Needs a major renovation”

The staff was courteous at the Ramada, but they could not make up for what was lacking in decor, cleanliness and comfort. The whole hotel is very dated and needs a major facelift. Our bathroom had caulking in the tub growing mold, an old wooden door peeling at the bottom, and a shower that sprayed half its water at our feet through a faulty faucet. The beds were not comfortable and the rollaway bed they brought for my daughter was ancient and had horrible springs that made it impossible for her to use. So disappointed. Their restaurant food was just ok for dinner, but their "free" breakfast buffet was really bad. Oily scrambled eggs, hard biscuits, no fruit to speak of, greasy sausage. Yuck. Nothing remotely healthy at all. There was a Ducks Unlimited conference going on when we arrived and as we walked past their meeting rooms it reeked of smoke. Smoking indoors, in 2011? Seriously?? We will not be going back to this hotel. I feel bad for the employees... they were very nice, but their management is obviously clueless.

“Hospitality reigns! Wonderful place to stay!”

Heading South to visit our children in nearby Harmony, this was an excellent choice for us. We found the hotel staff very cordial and helpful, the room spacious and spotless, and the breakfast delightful. The easy on-off I-77 was important to us, as we did a bit of road-running. We'll stay there again in the spring when we head back to Statesville!

“Strange Service”

The hotel staff are very friendly, and the hotel is adequately comfortable. I had issues, however, with trying to order movies (they didn't work) and I had to ask for a coffee maker, and request enough towels. When housekeeping came in, they took all the towels and shower curtain out of the room and didn't replace them until I called to ask for towels. This is the second time I've stayed here, and the second time they took all the towels. When I asked, they answered they do not have enough towels to stock rooms until they do all the laundry after cleaning the rooms. The hotel decor is dated, and staff is up against not enough resources to satisfy their customers. The hotel chain should supply their staff with enough linens and make sure the few amenities they have (like pay-per-view movies) are working! I will not stay here again.

“Quick overnight in Statesville, NC”

Although the hotel needs an update (old-style TV, no elevator to 2nd floor, old carpet in hall), the bedding was wonderfully comfortable and a great breakfast buffet was included.

While in Statesville, try Chopstix Thai restaurant! We got dinner there one night, and loved it so much we went back for lunch the next day.

“good overall experience”

Our family enjoyed our one night there very much. The staff was friendly and helpful, and we had dinner at the restaurant. The breakfast was ok but not the best I have tasted and there was no fruit. That would be my only complaint.

“Smelled of Cigarette smoke”

It wasn't a bad place, everyone was nice and friendly.Room clean. The draw back for us being ex-smokers, They had smoking and non smoking together. When you walk on the bottom floor it was strong in cigarette smell. The non smoking room still smelled of smoke. I just didnt realize it wouldnt have it's own section for smokers away from the non smoking rooms.
