Did not sleep much at this hotel.

Posted Jan 11, 2015
Pros: Room was clean and updated.
Location: If you are looking for a party motel this is the place.
Red Roof recently remodel this location and I was pleased with our room. But that is the last nice thing I can say about our experience. The hotel has exterior doors that are think. Close to highway and very noisy parking lot. The noise continued most of the night. After a mostly sleepless night we got up at 4:30 showered and left. We will not be staying at this hotel again.

Good place for our brief stay

Nicely renovated, close to major highway. Needed heat on but ended up turning it off because it was quite noisy, more so than the highway noise. Staff very pleasant.

Disappointing to say the least. Not worth the $$$

Posted Dec 21, 2014
Pros: location. close to interstate and several restaurants to choose from around it
Cons: Cleaner rooms, coffee maker in room, at the least. For what this hotel offers (or the lack of) it should only charge no more than $45 a night.
Location: It is in the small town of Statesville, NC. There is a K-mart and various restaurants near by.
My husband & I wanted an inexpensive hotel for our travels to Raleigh, NC for my son's graduation from NC State and a hotel in Statesville, NC for our family Christmas dinner in Statesville, NC. We booked the Best Western-Raleigh and this Red Roof Inn. The Best Western was about $4 less but was great. The only thing this Red Roof had going for it was its location (close to the interstate & restaurants). I had requested a room on the 1st floor & was told that because we booked thru Expedia we couldn't get our request nor one of the updated rooms and they were all taken. The 1st room we were put in smelled of smoke, was small, no coffee maker, and the security latch was broken. Only because of the security lock being broken were we allowed to change rooms where interestingly we were put on the 1st floor. this room was better than the 1st, but still because of the reasons listed above was very disappointing. For me, this Red Roof wasn't worth the money for what little we got in room cleanliness, comfort, and amenities (I mean what hotel doesn't at least give you a coffee maker in your room these days?). the Best Western-Raleigh gave us all of the things that Red Roof did NOT and gave us free continental breakfast along with the location (also during a graduation event for NC State) of it being in Raleigh, NC and charged us less. Don't stay here it is a waste of money!

The only thing missing is free breakfast. The room was extremely clean and updated.
