“Ups and downs”

After a very awkward entrance up the steep driveway, we descended to our room in what was the hotel's walkout basement. The noise level between rooms was fairly noticeable. And everything was bit small--the parking lot--the room--the bathroom--the office center--the pool--the exercise room. And the breakfast was just OK. Fine for a night, I guess.

“I would stay again”

Overall we had a good experience. Room was fine, no frills, but nice and clean. The indoor pool is very small and the water tasted like salt.

“Statesville Sleep Inn”

Rooms were a little smaller than I expected. There was a bit much furniture for such a small room. There was one chair that was useless and should be removed to make a little more room. I don't mind that there is only a shower and no bathtub but some people may. The shower was roomier inside than it appears at first glance. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very accomodating when we wanted to checkin a couple of hours early. We would stay here again.

“Excellent place to stay”

This was a great place to stay, we could not have been happier. I will keep this in my files for another trip. The staff was absolutely wonderful.

“Great breakfast...great hotel!”

Best free breakfast you'll ever find. Fresh cookies in lobby when we checked in at 10pm. Front desk very friendly and fast. Hotel was clean. Kids did enjoy it alot. The pool was very small, but got the job done. It was close to alot of stores and restaurants. I will be staying here again. Great value for the price.

“Worth the money”

This hotel is clean and has the needed items in the rooms to make your stay pleasant. There are many places to eat and shop within walking distance.

“Under rennovations and shoddy”

This hotel is under renovations and so it is loud and dusty. Two of the lamps in my room didn't work and the sconce on the wall flickered when turned off. When I am sleeping I like my room dark and quiet. That is impossible at this hotel because the door does not fit well into its jamb meaning a lot of light comes into the room. Also, when you don't hear the trucks rumbling by outside, or the people talking in the next room, you hear the power tools from the workers. On top of it all, in my search for a hotel I specified that I wanted one with a gym. The "gym" in this hotel was closed during renovations and consisted of nothing more than a 1983 treadmill. I would not recommend this hotel.
