Disappointed

Posted Jul 3, 2015
Pros: Staff were trying to help, but facilities are very old.
Cons: make a renovations of everything!
Location: Location is good enough to find everything around.
For this price you can expect much more. It was not clean bed. A lot of things did not work properly.

Nice and quiet

Posted Jun 27, 2015
We were looking for a convenient and relaxing place to stay...nothing elaborate. When we checked in, the receptionist was very friendly. Later, we found the housekeeping staff to be extremely friendly and polite. While we didn't get a chance to swim, the pool looked inviting. The breakfast bar was decent, and had a variety of things to eat. Even though the hotel is older and dated, it was clean and well kept. It was comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay! We would have no problem staying there, if we visit the area again.

easy access from street

Posted Jun 27, 2015
Pros: location
Cons: Breakfast area in no way meets the size of the motel.
Location: Drove to Safari Park in Natural Bridge.
The manager up graded us to a larger room with bars in the shower. It was a pleasure to be able to spread out since we were staying several days. The breakfast area was extremely small. We often had to wait for a place to sit. Since the manager was checking out people he was not able to keep the breakfast food and utensils replenished. I would stsay there again and ask for the same room.

If you have to stay here

Posted May 20, 2015
Cons: The NON Smoking Policy. The cleanliness
Not a lot of choices here re the Skyline Drive. The room is basically good except for the NON smoking room STANK of cigarettes. The noise level is significant with people talking outside. And the freight trains. Didn't know the hotel accepted dogs+++++, I'm acutely allergic to them. The entrance to our block had one large bag of rubbish on the ground, 2 FULL rubbish bins and a full ash tray upon arrival - all were still there the next day - YUK!!! Expensive rate for such poor quality

Poor front desk service. We were a bother.

Posted Apr 28, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: New staff and clean the place up
Location: Location not bad, just not a nice neighborhood
Front desk was too busy to even look at us during checking. Room run down and dirty. Dirty bags of trash and soiled linens sitting in hallways. Carpet worn and dirty.

Non-smoking? Well...

Posted Apr 26, 2015 on Hotels
For the type of hotel, it is good enough. The price points in the area are not very good. In other places, it might be a lot cheaper. Some pros: there is actually some hot food for breakfast--although not much and you better get there fast. Cons: the biggest is that the separate building I was in reeked of tobacco smells as you passed the entrance. Since I had a room nearby, my room was smelly, too. I had asked for a non-smoking room. I suspected someone had smoked in, but the hotel denied this when I called to complain. I was told it was a non-smoking room but "other people can smoke in other places." Well, if you have a non-smoking room surrounded by smokers who stink it up anyway, what's the point, exactly of advertising that you offer non-smoking rooms? It seems absurd. There's a point at which you have to stop catering to the tiny part of the population that still smokes and make them go outside.

You'll see why it's so cheap

Left a lot to be desired. I suppose for the price you get what you pay for, but except for the service, it was in poor condition. The service was simply ok.
