Touting itself as the only self-service hotel in town, the concept is a fail. First we were locked out of the building. They had sent us a code in Norwegian, and we didn’t realize what it was. When using self registration, we were billed for the night, even though we had prepaid via Expedia. We emailed the off site person and after 5 email exchanges we got some of the issues worked out. I will never use a self-service model again (this fact was not readily apparent on Expedia when booking). This really makes me appreciate all the hard working hotel staff at normal hotels.

Awful checking in experience and only a basic hote
Since nobody is on the reception desk full time ( strange practise for a hotel ) before and at my arrival, everthing was automatic with pass codes and computer imputs required. An awfull experience to endure after a long flight and so impersonel. What happened to the old practise of customer service ? Its rather like doing self check out at Tescos. To top it all I was given a damp smelling room and had to get that changed. Never again, which is sad as the staff on the morning shift were very pleasent.

This is a self service hotel. Nobody to ask questions, and we had several. I don’t think this model works. Go back to hotel school, and rethink this model.

I did not realize that this hotel has no reception. The hotel did not provide the clear instruction on how to get in the building and how to get the room keycard. I did not receive the code entering the building, waited outside longtime until someone came out from the building.

Ekstremt skuffende frukost, betalte ekstra for den, men ingen glutenfri alternativ. Åpnet heller ikke før 7:30 på mandag så rakk ikke spise den dagen, droppet frokost de siste dagene pga. dårlig utvalg. Savnet blant annet filterkaffe, bacon, eggerøre/speilegg, skikkelig frukt/grønt. Veldig lytt, hørte snakking fra naborommet hver kveld. Ikke daglig vask av rommet. Valgte hotellet pga. beliggenheten, men kommer ikke til å velge dette neste gang.

Vi har en kontinental frokost som består av ulike typer frokostblanding, yoghurt, kokt egg, agurk/paprika og ulike typer pålegg. Denne frokosten koster kun 59,- per person og har det meste en trenger for en god start på dagen :) Vi har glutenfritt knekkebrød stående fremme, men hvis du ønsker glutenfritt brød må du gi beskjed til frokostvakt som da fikser dette. Beklager hvis dette ikke var godt nok opplyst. Vi serverer også kun filterkaffe i frokosten. Rengjøring av rommet blir kun gjort hver tredje dag av oppholdet. Stuepikene sjekker likevel rommene hver dag for bytting av håndklær/ tømming av søppel. Hvis det er noe annet du mener vi bør vite, er det bare å kontakte oss på mail/telefon. We didnt get the Room we payed for. We had payed for a Room with a view over the City, but all family rooms were like the one on the photo... The hotel is perfect for guys wanting to live in the city or families with not so big expectations. The floors are carpets and they are old and doesnt look clean. The receptionist leaves at 19.00. We payed for two nights, but left after one. Was dissapointed.

We can guarantee you that we are going to go through all our routines to make sure that this doesn't happen again. Unfortunately, we are painfully aware that some of the rooms have worn carpets, but we can assure you that we regularly use the cleaning machine and that the rooms are clean. Hotel Sverre use an automated check-in/check-out system, that allows the hotel to operate reception-free from 19:00 – 07:00 daily. With this system, we are available by phone 24/7, and there is security guards who take regular checks at the hotel. We are of course dependent on direct notification if there is something we can do/change for our guests. We still understand your need to contact the reception at such events, and apologize further. Good centrally located place to base your Norwegian hiking adventures out of. Cheaper than properties in Stavanger and free parking - most of the time. We stayed 5 days, and at the latest we were out of our room by 10 AM every day, but our bed was only made once by the time we came back every evening. This was probably the only disappointing thing about this property. Breakfast was very good, price was reasonable and location was great.

A super experience!
We loved the "no key" access. We got an sms with our room door code just before checking in. So much easier. The breakfast had a great variety and was very fresh. The room was clean, the windows opened for fresh air, the bed was very comfortable! The location was perfect, near the city sentrum yet not noisy, within walking distance of bus and train station. Great visit overall, would stay there again!

Comfortable hotel.
We were staying in Sandnes to visit family in the area. The hotel provided a perfect base for us. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the hotel was comfortable. On-tap free tea, coffee and waffles wasa nice touch at reception, though we did miss tea making facilities in the room for that so important first cuppa of the day! We'll certainly use the hotel again if we need to stay locally in the future.

I will visit again!
My wife and I have stayed at this hotel before and enjoy its central location in Sandnes. It is quiet and the rooms are clean and just right. The beds are comfortable and the maid service is efficient. The morning brunch is just the right combination of breads, cheese, meats, waffles and yogurt. The staff keep the tables clean and the food stocked. The front desk at the hotel is friendly and helpful. We enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. When family come to visit, they feel welcome.

A short stay with a friend for two days. The plan was to go Preikestolen which was a short drive from the hotel. The breakfast buffet was excellent - the staff was smiling and calm. Would def. stay here again

Great place to stay for a quick night before heading to the Fjors. The breakfast was super complete and we even made a sandwich to go on our hike which was a plus and saved us some $$.

6 floors, elevator only goes to 5 Old Breakfast is kinda shaky Staff is nice and helpful Quaint part of town walking distance to many boutiques and small department stores. Don't expect high quality local food

Very nice hotel for a reasonable price
We booked a room for 3 person. Everything was okay. The hotel has 5 parking spaces but there are plenty of off-street parking lots that are free if you leave before 9am. The hotel is close to the center of the town and Sentrum train station. We were pretty happy for the stay.
