We had a rocky start to our stay.Posted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: Breakfast had variety and was well prepared. Loved the lobby coffee machine which was available 24/7. The elevator was large and decor funky & fun.
Cons: Extremely hot in the room. Windows opened to interior which was littered with cigarette butts & trash. Many items need repair; no safe;limited storage
Location: Within walking distance of the central bus station and the ferry terminal. Bus pick up immediately in front of hotel. Shops and eating areas close by.
My husband had relatives in Stavanger and we prepaid for our reservation to stay 4 nights knowing that we might only stay 2 or 3 nights in the room but wanted to keep it for the full time. We arrived from a cruise ship mid morning and told the staff that we would like to check in and requested that they put our bags in our room when it was available because we were taking a ferry to visit relatives and would not be back until the next morning. They said that they would not be able to check us in at that time but would hold our bags and keep the room for us. When we arrived the next morning they had listed us as a "no show" and did not save the room! They did finally locate a room for us in the hotel. Helpful staff except for their initial failure to follow through however.

Wonderful hotel with great views of the fjordPosted Jul 2, 2014
Great hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. To be honest, the beds could use an upgrade, but everything else is top-notch.

Awesome stay here!Posted Apr 6, 2014 on Hotels.com
Had a great weekend stay here, when their prices make it more manageable for those on vacation. Room was comfortable, bathroom small by American standards, but perfect! Breakfast was delicious.

Pros: Comfort, style & convenience

Room was lovely with view over street . Excellentbreakfast and good facilities. Thought reception staff on duty would have been more familiar with availability of Lysefjord cruise.

Had used my free booking from Hotels.com and choose to stay here night before my final exams. Hotel is clean and comfortable most of all very cozy room and kind staff. breakfast is a lot more than the usual compared to others. recommend it. Will definitely book my stay here in the future in relation to my studies in Stavanger. Would be super if they have student discount :P hehe

Central in the middle of Stavanger.Posted Dec 2, 2013
Pros: Very Central. No distance to anything. Walk right out to shops and restaurants.
Cons: Nothing really. The heater in the bathrom (for clothes) was not working. Irritating.
Location: Shops, Restaurants. Sight Seeing.
Hotel Central in the middle of Stavanger City, walking distance to all important sites.

Tiny roomPosted Nov 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room was a "business single", this was the smallest room I have ever stayed in, it had no wardrobe and no safe and the only furniture was a desk, Not really business like! The hotel had no restaurant or bar, this despite hotels.com stating it had both. Overall not very impressed considering the inflated price!

Only suitable for heavy sleepers or deaf peoplePosted Nov 19, 2013
Pros: Decor was nice.
Cons: Sort out the slamming doors.
Hotel is nicely decorated, the bedroom comfortable and the staff very pleasant. I even thought I was going to get a good night's sleep as the bedroom floor was carpeted -- never understood the Norwegian obsession for wooden floors in hotels....who wants to hear every step the person upstairs makes? But this hotel beats that by having bathroom doors that automatically slam shut very, very loudly. If you thought slamming bedroom doors & corridor noise was annoying, try this. I was kept awake until the small hours by other guests going in and out of their bathrooms - and then woken early by the same thing. I can safely say I will never stay in this hotel again because of it.
