We had a great time over Labor Day at Trappeur's Crossing. The staff was outstanding, pool (indoor/outdoor) and hot tub area clean, and the grounds impeccably maintained. This is our "go to" location in Steamboat - we love the spaciousness of the units, community gas grills, and close proximity to mountain biking trails, hiking trails, and downtown.

It was a great experience. Very, very quiet. Just happened to be only two other people staying in the entire location. Literally had the whole place to our selves. Room was very clean and neat. Bed was not the most comfortable but it was ok. The TV was small but that was fine, not their to watch much TV anyway.

Good location. Close to gondola station and the transit center for free community bus service . The transit center has a heated waiting area, which is great when temperature goes down. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. But the mattress of murphy bed is a bit sagged in the center, which is the reason why it got 4 in Comfort of the Room.

We stayed in 2 bed, 2 bath in Aug. It was beautiful villa with tons of space for everyone. Right at base of gondola. In summer, a lot of restaurants closed at base of mountain & drove downtown for places to eat.

Check-in was easy and friendly but brief. Could have used more details, such as the underground parking, which we did not find until the 3rd day. 1-bedroom condo has it all but is long and narrow; murphy bed creates an awkward open space when up but demands the table be across from the kitchen counter when down, creating a narrow bottleneck. Never did figure out if fireplace worked. Washer/dryer was nice surprise. Large covered porch with mountain view -- nice! Hot tubs are nice and not overly crowded despite huge property. Overall seems well maintained. I hope the old CRT TV is planned for replacement; AV port is sketchy, making DVD connection challenging. For our purposes, it was more than we needed.
