“A bit of a dated place”
While this hotel does have some things going for it like a comfortable bed and nice furniture, the place is dated. The fan in our bathroom, for example, was connected to the light switch and horrendously loud. If my husband used the toilet, we would wake me up each night. We also found the breakfast to be utterly pathetic-- aside from vanilla yogurt, syrupy fruit and hard boiled eggs, there were just white bagels, waffles and sugary cereal. In other words, I suggest going elsewhere if you want a healthy breakfast served on real plates and not styrofoam. We were also overcharged for our room. We booked a suite and were given a regular room. This is not a bad place, but they need to step it up if they want people to return.
“Don't hesitate...book this hotel!”
I was thoroughly pleased w/ my stay at the Inn. I had considered some of the bigger name hotels in Steamboat but really wasn't interested in spending that much per night to sleep. I am so very happy that I saved my money and ended up w/ a room that was probably nicer than any of the large "resort" hotels. You won't find someone at the desk 24 hours a day at the Inn - but I don't need that anyway. What you will find is an A+ room (the beds were fantastic!), free wifi, free continental breakfast, a swimming pool & hot tub, workout room, free parking, etc. The Inn may not look all that impressive from the outside - but you will not be disappointed w/ your room. I looked at all the reviews on every site before booking and couldn't have been more pleased in the end. I will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to others!
“Making another reservation for a colleague.”
This is an "old style" property with upgraded bath and room ammenities. It is an off-season visit so no breakfast was available but the hotel was quiet and the manager, Jennifer, was very warm and welcoming. It is located in a residential area with great mountain views. I will stay here again and plan to make reservations for a colleague who needs to stay in Steamboat on business later this month.
“We will return again”
Everything was great the only thing was there was no breakfast due to it being off season and we did not find out till we arried, but the hotel room exceeded my expations
“Awesome value but you need a car!”
This hotel offerred a great value for a nice king room with a mediocre breakfast. The bed and shower were great and the room conveniently had a small fridge. The bus shuttle stop in the winter is a long walk - on the road and in weather, not good. The shuttle service the hotel provides is useful for getting to the mountain and the bus terminal, but you must know your plans ahead of time to sign up for the shuttle. I recommend renting a car. In the evening, both the shuttle and bus are a pain and it's just a quick drive down into town and back for dinner and live music.
“Would recommend without hesitation”
We enjoyed our stay at the Inn at Steamboat immensely. The rooms are tastefully furnished and well-appointed, the staff are helpful but non-intrusive, and the hotel shuttle to and from the ski area is very convenient. One of the best in the 'boat.
“Steamboat Value!”
Very comfortable room with a local feel from the staff.
“Very Impressive!”
We really enjoyed staying at "The Inn at Steamboat"...we stayed 4 nights...the rooms are very cozy, nicely decorated; bed and pillows are VERY comfortable. Great tiled shower, granite sink and nice fixtures in the bathroom area. Good location; only a short shuttle ride to the slopes. We enjoyed the breakfast in the AM and the outdoor hot-tub at night...The Staff was very friendly and informative...We would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to stay!
“A REASONABLE FIND -- PERFECT FOR SKIERS”
Having booked through Expedia, I didn't have to fill out any forms at check-in and my key was waiting for me at tghe front desk. This hotel, under new management and staffed by uniformly young, efficient and eager[-to-please associates. There is nothing fancy about this place. The rooms are clean, spacious, with wide French doors opening on a narrow balcony. Suggest you opt for the third floor for quiet and best views. Could have done without the many overstuffed pillows, and would have liked a waste basket in the bedroom area as well as the bathroom. Asked for a second basket and promptly got one. A hotel shuttle bus is available for getting to and from the mountain, and the regular Steamboat shuttle stop is only a long block away. The table I used for my laptop was nowhere near a power outlet. But a request for an extension cord quickly brought Mark, who also drives the bus, with a long cord, and I found the WiFi connection both fast and reliable, which can be a problem eslewhere around Steamboat Springs. Also appreciated the 28" flat screen TV. Didn't check out out the free breakfast., the heated outdoor pool or hot tub, but saw others using all three facilties. Would definitely stay here again.
“Great value!”
Nice rooms, good location!
