Nice condo, reasonably priced (for Steamboat)

Posted Mar 30, 2015
Great condo. Conveniently located in between the mountain and downtown. Shuttle service was great getting to and from the mountain to ski. Bed was comfortable, staff was friendly and amenities were an added bonus. Would definitely stay there again.

Not good for small children

Posted Mar 3, 2015
Pros: The shuttle to the ski resort. Staff was friendly
Location: The location is not good if you don't have a car.
Though they have a pool, this is not the hotel for small children. The hotel is older, configuration is weird, MANY stairs to your room, difficult to get luggage to room with cart (you have to park in back, take luggage cart through a back door, and down a back hallway to get to elevators). We stayed in a loft, the stairs were narrow, not room for a pack and play and bed in upstairs room. We ended up checking out early and coming home. Disappointed in facilities. Pool was cold. Room was dirty, there was dust and dirt under the furniture. Checking in it was a good thing the line was long and I got to listen to everyone else's check in as the clerks did not give every guest the same information "check out times, code to gym, pool hours, shuttle times, etc.." I wish we would have spent extra money to stay somewhere else.

Location: The shuttle to/from the ski-hill/downtown is great. Mark the shuttle driver was great, providing some great recommendations.
Not on the ski hill, but the rooms are big (especially the loft/1-bed rooms). The facilities are great and so much more than a normal hotel. There is no onsite restaurant and you are not walking distance to either downtown or the ski hill, but the shuttle is frequent enough and convenient.

Nice older place in good location

This hotel is old but has some nice features. The loft room was nice with a comfortable living area and nice kitchenette. The bathroom was small with poor lighting and small tub/shower. Bed was decent but not great with minimal linens. I enjoyed the use of the hot tub/pool until 10:30pm however the hot tub wasn't very hot. I also felt that the front desk staff was not very helpful. I asked for where the nearest public bus stop was to the hotel to which I was told "I have no idea, I never used it" . I mean you think they would at least know something as simple and useful as that. I also overheard staff telling other guests "I don't know" to several other questions. The hotel shuttle service was helpful but if you miss it it's a nice long walk down the hill to public transit stop at the bottom of the hill. Overall a decent hotel for the money but nothing very special.

Good value & convenient

Location: Skiing and outdoor sports available
Conveniently located between downtown shopping & restaurants and Steamboat ski resort. Staff friendly & helpful, good shuttle service between areas, guest laundry a ski lockers a plus. Property a bit dated but views from room very nice.

Close to everything

Pros: Comfortable and convenient
Cons: Housekeeping. We spent 6 days there and the room has never been cleaned once. Hotel should at least equip rooms with brooms.
Location: Best breakfast ever in Winona restaurant downtown - just 3 minutes from hotel of Lincoln Ave
My husband and I enjoyed our stay with our 3 year old daughter and the room was comfortable and had everything that we possibly needed. The locations was excellent with convenience to grocery stores, shopping, downtown and a short drive to any activities. We will return to this hotel and would recommend it to our friends and family.

Reasonable hotel not far from the slopes

Had a three day weekend over the New Years holiday. Room was spacious. Hotel itself was a little dated, and wish that housekeeping would have come by automatically (instead of having to specifically request it), but all in all, a good place to stay.

We were told about the complimentary shuttle to the gondola square. After we took it and when we wanted to get back to the hotel we found out in was only during limited hours (that nobody cared to tell us about), leaving us stranded in the cold with two little kids. Had to find out a cab company number and ask for a ride. We stayed 3 nights and not even once got maid service. so if you are staying for more than two days be ready to bring your toiletries and reuse your towels until the end of your stay.

Nice, cozy and comfortable!

We stayed here for a week and served our purposes just fine. Friendly staff and comfortable, roomy room. Nice view. Housekeeping is there if you need them but do not bother you if you don't. Renovated nicely and good location!

Old - needs updates to baths and beds.

Posted Jan 3, 2015
Coffee maker broken, no extra paper products in room. Old showers, old hard beds, stools were about to fall apart. Staff not helpful, just kind of a warm body. No effort for comfort. Wouldn't be a bad place if they put some money into it. Shuttle driver was very nice.
