The property is very run down and you have to drive on a muddy dirt road to get to the entrance. I had to wait 20 minutes for a room to be cleaned at 5pm. Then staff knocked on my door every 5 minutes AN HOUR BEFORE CHECK OUT TIME. I had my alarm set to leave at 11am and then the cleaning lady tried entering my room at 10am, and wouldn’t stop knocking. I don’t recommend this Travelodge. I will not be staying here again

We had to have our key cards reprogrammed twice. The key card on the outside entrance didn't work. I asked for some washcloths and got hand towels instead. When I went to ask for washcloths, the employee grumbled something and never did deliver them. Would not recommend staying here, it's a dive. We will not be staying here again.

We stayed a total of 7 nights. The Staff at the front desk is also the Cook. They were very friendly and great cooks. However they are very short staffed. Twice our check in was delayed. Checkin is at 3pm but the first time we checked in we had to wait until 4pm. The second stay checkin was horrible. We arrived and checked in, went to our room and it was not cleaned at all! Beds were not made, trash was still everywhere and nothing was steralized! We went back down to the front desk and the person was very sorry and did what he could to help. There was no other rooms available so he called the house keeping manager, who was off that day. She arrived within 15 min and apologised. She called the housekeeper who had said she cleaned the room! She told her it was not cleaned and asked her to come help her. She also told her that several of the rooms that she had marked off as cleaned was not cleaned at all! The housekeeper refused to help the manager and hung up on her. At the same time another hotel guest came to the front desk and complained and stated his room also had not been cleaned and was not ready. He had a single room and they had another available for him. The manager then tried to call the employee back but she wouldnt answer. So the manager had to clean our room and she did a great job! However it was around 6pm before we had our room! So we actually missed out on our evening that we had planned. It completly messed our entire evening up because we were hunting.

Check in is at the diner & Jennifer was a delight. Our room was clean & the bed was pretty comfortable. The room did not have any cups, which was a bit inconvenient & it didn't have a coffee maker. we had dinner at the diner & it was really good & again Jennifer was a delight. Then we had breakfast & the woman who was at the diner was also very nice. The only negative is that the hotel could use some updates.

Perfect country get away.
Just what I needed. No frills, just clean comfortable bed and bath. The ladies at the cafe work very hard to give they're customers exactly what they want. I've been coming to Yampa for over 20 years, minus COVID, but this is the first time I stayed at the hotel and it was worth it. Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. Peaceful and quiet, no stomping around, yelling, drunken brawlers, or kids running in the hall. I love this place! I' be back sometime on the summer. 😘

We like Yampa! We loved the people who helped us check in and cooked our food in the cute little diner. However, run down areas around the place. Trash cans overflowing, the entry from outside not work with passkey. People were propping the doors open. The ac/heater was noisy the rooms and halls very stuffy, carpets need shampooing.

Clean/cmf but ck-in off site--> we alone in bldg
The room was clean and bed and bed linens clean and super comfortable. What was awkward was there was no one in charge of the building where we stayed. We checked in at the tavern/restaurant next door and my husband had to go back there to get us comfortable and settled in bed.

Security doors didn’t work to hotel. Trash was over flowing in hallway next to stairs room was not cleaned for next guest. Very disappointed in this property. Hotel stinks because trash has not been emptied in a while.

Even in smaller towns, technology has taken over.
Need to fix the doors so that when you swipe your card, the doors will open. Could you at least print a menu and leave them in the rooms and have some in the restaurant. My phone wasn't working, had trouble with it all week. Would have been nice to have been able to see a menu. Could you put ice buckets and cups in the rooms, some silverware?

The room was really well furnished and equiped. The hair dryer did not work. There were no cups orlastic glasses. We usedtour own. There is no coffeee maker in the room. The television was impossible to figure out how to work and no directions. Entrrace doors with the key cards was hit and miss. The restaurant is very convenient, but we did not take advantage. The staff seemed stressed and short handed, but they were very pleasant and helpful.

The staff was what made our stay enjoyable. Especially the young lady who was working in the restaurant the night of our stay. The attached diner is the only restaurant open in Yampa during the winter and she was the only employee that night - waiting tables, cooking, running the cash register... all while watching her son. I got the impression that she wasn't supposed to work that night but got called in and was making the best of a tough situation. She handled everything with grace and good cheer. The hotel was fine - clean inside but the parking lot was a bit rough to navigate given all the recent snow (there was a delivery truck stuck in the parking lot when we arrived). Shower was better than in the Air B&B we stayed at in Steamboat Spring the night before!

It was clean. The bed had no comforter, just a sheet, thin blanket and another sheet. It's kind of a weird location. I left early every morning but at checkout they charged me 2.91 for a coffee refill, the gas station down the street has better coffee and the refill is 1.05.

The hotel is older but the rooms are clean and have everything you need. Yampa is amazing. Walking out in the snow in the middle of the night is beautiful. It is close to Stage coach for summer fun and Steamboat for winter fun.

There was some confusion about a late check in, toilet in the room didnt work. Breakfast was good. Overall served the purpose of a late night rest stop.
