Takes the "hassle" out of skiing

Posted Mar 24, 2015
Pros: Convenient friendly staff Rooms are good price is fair for what is offered
Cons: Time to change the ambiance of the main restaurant, great but needs a image facelift
Location: skiing, food, more skiing
Nice employees in all areas of hotel, the bar are and lounge (nicely opens to main lobby for spacious feel) menu is one of the hidden secrets of steamboat. excellent offerings in range and price, it also offers some nice ambiance and a variety of seating options that allow you to avoid the barfly's when preferred. Lounge also provides a nice musical act every night too.Staff has definitely become more guest-centric over past few years. Rooms are comfortable and clean and housekeeping was consistent and very good. employee's seemed happy to be working here which is always nice to see. The hotel also offers a very god and friendly morning coffee shop that also provides good muffins and satisfying breakfast sandwiches that offers true skiers a quick start to there day without getting gouged

Nice hotel close to the slopes

Posted Mar 20, 2015
Great experience- close to all the activities. Nice to be able to rent skis from shop in loby, hit the slopes and eat lunch all in one location! When you were done skiing, there was live music while you were enjoying a drink! The kids were able to swim in a heated pool outside while we could relax in the hot tub. Only downfall, the restaurant close early. If you eat late you either have to order from your hotel or go into town to the restaurants.

Sheraton salvaged our ski trip.

Posted Mar 18, 2015
After 3 nights in an unsatisfactory condo booked through Mountain Resorts, and a very unsatisfactory experience with Mountain Resort staff we moved to the Sheraton for our last night in Steamboat. It was like coming home. Beautiful studio room with kitchenette, fabulous bathroom, wonderful pool and hot tub area and friendly, extremely helpful staff. Not to mention right at the base of the slopes. I will stay here again on my next trip to Steamboat!

Excellent location to slopes. Great restaurants and amenities. Best part is you can rent and store skis right on the first floor.

Wonderful time in Steamboat! This hotel is literally at the hub of all the ski activities! We were able to easily rent and store equipment. The shuttle to and from town was nice as well! Would def recommend this place to anyone!

Average hotel next to gondola and base area.

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: Closeness to the gondola. Jacuzzi nice location(on the 2nd floor). shuttle driver, Baxter, was so nice.Parking included.Nice lobby/bar with a view.
Cons: Buffet breakfast was expensive($21/psn) but quality was average, so we had to go outside the hotel to get breakfast.Shower was moldy and no exhaust
Location: Location at base of mountain but a few miles from town, so the shuttle was helpful. Town was fun with a lot of restaurants and shops.
We were able to check on early on a Wednesday. Then we took the shuttle into town for lunch. The shuttle driver was friendly and accommodating. We loved the location of the hot tub on the 2nd floor roof with the slopes and village in view. Room was average, but adequate. Skiing was the best with fresh snow everyday. Had dinner at Hazies at the top of Gondola. Was romantic and food was fantastic, pricey but worth it! Gondola ride at sunset was the best. Workers were friendly/helpful.

One bedroom suite right on the slope

Posted Feb 28, 2015
Pros: Wonderful location for skiing.
Cons: The TV system is not user friendly. The offering of $5 a day for forgoing the evening bed "turn down" is misleading.
This is a really good hotel, not extraordinary, but it has all the amenities one would expect in a good hotel. The kitchen and laundry are nice and open into the living area. With one or two adjoining bedrooms, this is be an excellent family suite for skiing because it is so convenient for the kids can come and go to the slope during the day, with free ski storage. The mountain is great, as are the three hot tubs.
