“Hotel was dececnt”
Can't argue with the price. A bit of driving required for downtown steamboat, but all in all not bad. Everything was clean, but fit and finish in the room was a bit sub-par (looks like the contractor lacked a level). Room was clean and quiet though, and can't argue with the free wifi.
“Dog-friendly?”
This hotel says that they are dog friendly, but won't let you leave your pooch kenneled in the room. We ended up getting a dog-sitter just to go to the hot springs so that our dog wouldn't freeze in the car. There is a $65.00 charge for an unattended dog in the room (even if the dog is in a kennel).
“Nice Clean Place to Stay”
Lobby, room and grounds were all clean a nicely kept up. The bed was comfortable and the staff was nice. Price was right. Only thing that could have improved would be a btter breakfast but I bought 2 egg burritos for a dollar each and they hit the spot.
“Great value.”
Beds were small (full size) and sunken in the middle a bit, but OK to sleep in. Room frig didn't seem very cold. Cont. breakfast was ok. They were "small dog friendly" and allowed our pug to stay with us, so that was a plus. The room was clean and smelled clean. Great room for the price. Would come back and stay here.
“Okay for a 2 star”
This was an inexpensive place to stay the night in a great town, but remember that you get what you pay for. There is no full breakfast like is described. And if you arrive at night, the parking lot behind the hotel is very dark. The room was ok, the shower was hot, so what more could you ask for? The bed was very comfortable, however, so that was a nice surprise. I would stay there again, just passing through, but don't know if I would stay there for an extended stay.
“concerns over hotel”
The good about the hotel was it was clean and the people were nice The negatives that they can do nothing about very small pool and no elevator. The negatives that they should think about. They charged $ extra for a 16 year old. (FYI. I booked originally thinking it was only going to be 2 of us going. I then decided to bring my 16 year old. I went back to expedia with the new addition. The price came up about the same so I called to make the change. I was surprised when there came up an extra fee that was not included in my original price. This was a first for me. In the past my original quote included all three of us. ) My other big surprise was the breakfast. It consisted of 4 cereals: captain chrunch, fruitloops, bran and cherrios, 3 types of muffins: blueberry, cheese, and bran. There was milk, apple juice, orange juice, coffee and tea. This was the worst continental breakfast that I have ever seen. Since they are charging $ for extra people they could at least put out some toast, bagels, donuts, or more types of muffins. Would I stay there again? Yes, if they included the total price in the original pricing on expedia and they add to the breakfast. If they don't make these changes I will look for another place next year.
“Great for Location for Hot Air Balloon Festival”
This hotel is clean and neat and in the perfect location for the July Hot Air Balloon Festival weekend. There is no parking at the festival and our hotel was the closest hotel to the field and a quick 10 minute walk. While all the other people had to wait in a huge line to catch the shuttles back to their hotels or parking lots, we were able to walk past the line and straight back to our hotel. This was especially good on the day it rained and the others had to just stand in it while we were able to get back to our hotel and get some hot tea and muffins with the free breakfast. Breakfast is not alot, juice, milk, tea, cereal and muffins, but it's enough to get you moving for the day.
“Ok for the price”
The stay was ok for the price - can not find anything cheaper in Steamboat Springs - you get what you pay for.
“clean and comfortable”
comfortable, roomy, and clean room. Everything was nice. Hurry down for breakfast though.
“Clean, comfortable and one of the cheaper options in town.”
Clean, comfortable and one of the cheaper options in town.
