“Pools were awesome...but...”
The pools were great, clean and warm. The staff was plesant and helpful. The fitness room was clean, but crowded at peak times. However, there is no A/C in the units (crazy hot in the summer), and the 'cleaning fee' that you pay goes to waste, as during our 3 day stay the unit was not visited by cleaning staff once. Trash cans were overflowing, found moldy trash from previous guests, ran out of towels & toilette paper. There were nice aspects, but highly over-priced for the amenities that you get. We will not stay here again, or recommend it to people we like.
“Will Return Next Year”
We were there for a 4 day soccer tournament. The hotel was capable of accommodating 4 families and our CRAZY soccer players. It was a great location within our soccer fields and the staff bent over backwards to accommodate our players. We will be returning next year and recommending this place to our entire soccer club! Please share this with them as well people interested in this location.
“Great ski condo”
Very nice condo- good location close to ski hill. The shuttle was easy and fast- very friendly drivers. The condo had everything we needed. Similar to other condos we have stayed at over the years. Nicely updated and decorated.
“Very Satisfied”
Conveniently located with very comfortable and clean rooms, hospitable staff. Could not ask for anything better next to being ski in / ski out slopeside but this location is very close to the mountain.
“Very nice, convenient location, awesome service”
Stayed here primarily for the kids to ski for a week...close to the ski hill without ski in/ski out prices, private shuttle service, outdoor pool, great reviews. Private shuttle- I can't say enough how much easier this made our entire stay. I didn't rent a car and at no time did I feel I needed one. The drivers were all very courteous and extremely timely. This service is priceless. Condo - as expected. Nicely furnished, well stocked kitchen, everything worked (fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, etc.). We had a 1 bedroom with a pull-out couch. Gave the kids the bed while my wife and I slept on the pull-out. I do have to say it was in pretty bad shape with a major sag towards the middle. Even with that we both slept good. I told the front desk the pull-out mattress was in desperate need of replacing and they indicated they'd tell the owners. The kids did say the bed was extremely comfortable, as did my wife who slept with them one night. Pool and hot tubs were great and not busy at all. We stayed in the Timberline Lodge in a room that faced the rec center (where the pool and hot tubs are located). A short walk down the sidewalk and you're in the pool. Very convenient. Hor derves, beer, wine, hot chocolate, etc. on Mondays and Fridays was awesome. We used it after skiing to take in a later dinner. Much appreciated so the kids weren't starving. If it were just my wife and I we could have replaced dinner with this. A very nice touch. fitness room another plus.
“Smashing Vacation! Would do it all over again!”
The trip was amazing!
“Steamboat gem of a stay”
It was a very nice location the rooms a little small but normal for a ski resort I suppose. The shuttle service is definitly the best part of staying there. They are polite and friendly and will basically take you where ever you want to go and pick you up when your done. The ropm was well appointed with a nice fireplace and kitchen. The slopes are just a couple minutes away and very convienent. I would highly recommend it.
“Great location and place to stay!”
We were so pleasantly surprised by our condo. It was the perfect size for the three of us, and was well appointed. The shuttle was available in a timely manner and the weekend was perfect. THe only thing I would ask is for better checkin information - we arrived after hours and were pretty clueless how to proceed.
“Great Accommodations with Excellent Prices”
I have no complaints about Trappeur's Crossing. We stayed in a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom condo that was in a convenient location to the mountain. They offer shuttle service to the gondola every 15 minutes or so from 8am - 5pm. They also have a pretty good happy hour twice a week in the main office building. The room was clean and well kept. If you want to venture into town, the free public bus is only a block away. There also a small grocery store/liquor store about 5 minutes away (walking) if you want to grab a few necessities. I would definitely come back and stay here again.
“Best Stay in Steamboat”
We stayed at Trappeur's Crossing for 4 days in January 2010, and were EXTREMELY impressed with our entire stay. We stayed in a bedroom+den for 3 people, but the room could have easy fit 4 (or 5 if someone slept on the couch). There were constant pleasant surprises about Trappeur's, from their heated garage parking, to the complimentary ski/ board storage in each building to keep the snow out of your room, to the hot chocolate and cookies that were out when the lifts closed every day. The complimentary shuttle service was very reliable and the drivers were more than helpful. Only about a 3 minute shuttle ride to Gondola Square. We were so happy we actually looked into buying a condo here!
