Beautiful and out of the way

We arrived at Kent Manor to beautiful surroundings and very courteous people. The whole building and grounds were quaint and immaculate. We were taken care of immediately, and given a paper which included all the details of our stay. The room was spacious and clean, and the king-sized poster bed was comfortable. There was a Keurig coffee maker for our morning coffee on the adjoining balcony. Later we had breakfast at our leisure, and went our way. We were sharing the house, but it all seemed so private and comfortable. I'll be happy to book another stay there whenever I am coming to the area!

Kent Manor - Great Service

Our entire experience with Kent Manor In was very positive. From the booking follow up phone calls before we arrived, through the lovely room and the fabulous meal at the Inn restaurant we were taken good care of through and through. Rooms were clean and well appointed with lovely balcony and grounds. Service was exceptional!

Hardly anyone there when we arrived. Nice room, friendly enough. BUT, they said their restaurant was closed, and they would put a "cold breakfast in the room this evening". We could make our own coffee in the room. We could see the reasons everywhere. Preparations we going on for a big event, probably a wedding, the end of the week. I think we were the only guests that night. There was no help available for the luggage up some difficult stairs. Or down in the morning for that matter. (We are retirees, and have back problems). Finally, the TV did not work at first. I had to make an outside call (the room telephone would not give me an outside line) so I had to use my cell phone to call an outside number listed by the phone. After a delay, a young sous-chef who had clearly been chopping onions showed up. He could not immediately fix the problem. So he went away, and came back a little later with new instructions. This time he fixed it. The price was extremely high, and for what we got, was the worst value we have seen in quite a while. It was not worth even half the rate. Our goal was to have a pleasant stay at a country Inn! I think the hotel owes us an apology at the very least, and a refund also. But that is perhaps too much to hope for.
