Have staryed at the hotel before and would do again but the rooms are a little tired, but hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.

Great foodPosted Aug 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great hospitality from the staff, food is good... Especially the steak!, spa facilities also very good. Best bit.....feather pillows, worst bit....noisy extractor fan in bathroom, thank goodness it turned off!

The hotel is ok , but they do sell a bottle of water for £4.50. There is no aircon and in overall rating I would only give three stars.

Small musty room!Posted Aug 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
We only stayed one night so we could go to the Falkirk Wheel on our way from Scotland to Manchester. From the outside and in the public areas the hotel looks great. Our room was in a back corner of the hotel (past the kitchen), up some windy stairs that looked as though the carpets were original to the hotel. Being an old building I expected creeky stairs and floors but it needs to be updated. Our room overlooked the roof of the kitchen so it was noisy and unattractive. The room was small and the bed was not a full size double. Based on cost and comfort I would stay at a local B&B next time!

Convenient stopoverPosted Jun 24, 2013
Pros: Easy to find, reasonable restaurant.
Cons: Room was a little too warm with no way of copoling it down.
Location: Near to Grangemouth, so not picturesque, but in countryside which is surprising given it's location
Needs more customer service on the reception. There was 1 person on the phone in a back office and a queue of people and the only other person around came from the restaurant, smiled and walked on. Otherwise a comfortable and conveniently located hotel, with a good range of food in the restaurant.
