Business Getaway

Posted Feb 3, 2015
Pros: The staff was the most impressive.
Cons: The furnishings were somewhat dated.
Location: The hotel is located very close to restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping. One of the hidden gems is The Broadway Diner. Great Food!
The hotel is centrally located between two interstate highways and very convenient to restaurants and shopping. My business meetings were in Decatur and this hotel allowed me to miss most of the morning commute because of its location to the facility. The hotel is pet friendly, the staff are very professional and accommodating. Although the furnishings are somewhat dated the beds were comfortable, the room was large and clean.

"Dog Friendly" Turns into "Horror Show"

Posted Feb 3, 2015
Pros: nothing
Cons: The hotel is tired, smokey, and in need of repair
I arrived on a weekend where dozens of dogs (and owners) were there for a dog show. There were dogs everywhere, barking all night long. Bed's are not comfortable - linens and comforter were wrinkled and sparse. TV had audio issues and had to be reset for channels to show up. Smokey room and hallway ("because there are smoking rooms on the hall"). Staff were barely there and helpful. A weekend from hell.

Pros: Close to the event I was attending.
Cons: A blanket would have been better than the comforter.
I stayed at this hotel for just one night to attend a birthday celebration in the area. The room was spacious and satisfied my needs completely. I would use this hotel again without any reservations about the facility.

Convenient location, 5 minutes away from stores

Posted Jan 5, 2015
Cons: The complimentary breakfast is sad and could be improved upon.
The hotel is nicely located close to stores, pharmacies and other shops. Nice, quiet environment with ample parking. Don't look forward to the complimentary breakfast, though. It's pretty basic. At least it's provided.

Family travler

The hotel was nice and the staff friendly. There were no towels in the fitness room or the pool area for the 3 days we were there.

Good stay. Nice, clean property. Good area with several food options. The only weak point was a limited-selection breakfast bar.

Never say Never But "NEVER" Again

Posted Dec 1, 2014 on Hotels.com
The room had towels for 1 person - 1 night, no toiletries in the bathroom, the shower head didn't work properly, the TV remote didn't work, hangers in the closet were broken, the bed was lumpy and uncomfortable, no one told us we had to turn on a wall switch to use the iron, the printer didn't work in the business office -the next day the desk clerk found it was "jammed" and said that no one told her after I was told it had been out for days. They were replacing tile above us so we heard the knocking/banging early in the morning as well as the toilets flushing, my wife wanted to take a nice bath the night before we were leaving, the tub had a dirty ring, we didn't notice because we were took showers all week, so she was upset, the ice machine didn't work on our floor so my wife went to the other 3 floors and found out later that none were working except on the first floor. BUT yes, they (one of the two NICE desk clerks) offered to move us on the third night but I didn't feel like moving all my luggage, clothes and items in the refrigerator or everything that I had laid out in the bathroom. Oh, the refrigerator didn't work properly,I had to get ice and place our bottled water in it. The only redeeming factor is the two African American female desk clerks, they were helpful, apologetic, nice and always smiling. The rest was neither approachable or helpful and didn't even smile when they saw us coming or going.
