Great location, friendly staffPosted Sep 2, 2013
Pros: Location, excellent breakfast, decent wi-fi.
Cons: No complaints.
Location: In a quiet side street in the heart of Sodermalm with it's shops, bars, and restaurants.
I travel to Stockholm quite a lot and always stay in Sodermalm. I had never stayed at Columbus Loft before however but chose it as I like to try new places and it was in an excellent location just around the corner from Medborgardplatsen and the metro. Lovely courtyard, very friendly staff, and clean room. I had a share bathroom but I regularly saw the cleaners in there every so often to make sure that it was tidy and clean. No complaints there. The breakfast was of a high standard with all the usual Swedish delights of boiled eggs, cheese, meats, coffee, juice, cereals, a selection of breads, herring, you name it. Plus free coffee or tea and cake all day! I've stayed at numerous other hotels of this star rating in the area and this is one of the better ones. You won't be disappointed.

Clean, comfortable, with wonderful breakfast.Posted Aug 13, 2013
Pros: Cheap by Stockholm standards (for single), central and easily accessible, with wonderful breakfast and free tea/coffee available throughout the day.
Cons: Having to heave a suitcase up 3 flights of stairs and trekking down the corridor to the loo in the middle of the night (but that's why it's cheap!)
Location: Central and quiet location on Sodermalm, near Slussen yet only 4/5mins from metro station which is hub of 'Sofo' - lots of restaurants and night life.
Great if you're looking for somewhere central but cheap and quiet in Stockholm (not easy to find). Clean and comfortable if you're prepared to trek down the corridor for the loo and bathroom. Staff on Reception always cheerful and helpful. Wonderful breakfast, which you can eat outside in the lovely cobbled courtyard if you're lucky enough to find a table. The only downside is there is no lift - but it didn't put me off, as this was my second visit!

Peaceful oasis near Old TownPosted Jul 23, 2013
Pros: Excellent food, charming yard
Cons: Lack of lift, lack of Air-Conditioner
Location: Excellent location (700 m) to Old Town and 2k to Downtown
The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was to die for (variety of cereals, fruits, hams and cheeses, variety of jams. There were 4 toilets and 3 bathrooms on the floor to share but this experience was not as shocking as one would expect to be, The lack of lift required a bit of an effort (the highest 3rd floor was equivalent to a 5-floor climbing of stairs).

Columbus Hotel in Sodermalm, Stockholm, SwedenPosted Jul 8, 2013
Pros: Location, breakfast, price
Cons: A lot of stairs to the third floor!
Location: It's in Sodermalm which is a great part of Stockholm with lots of cafes and bars and nice views.
Enjoyed this hotel. Nice hotel for the price. Great location. Shared bathrooms were good and clean. Good breakfast, staff helpful, and friendly. An improvement would be an elevator but can see this is probably tricky and cost prohibitive. Was on the third floor and for some it is quite a hike.

Great! highly recommend.Posted Jul 5, 2013
Pros: Breakfast, location, price."
I loved my stay at the Columbus loft. I stayed in a European twin room. Excellent location - short walk to centrally located Medborgarplatsen tunnelbanna in Sodermalm, vibrant community, safe-feeling for a woman traveling alone. Breakfast was awesome, and the safe room was equipped with combo safes, coin deposit (10SEK, returned) lockers, and video surveilled luggage racks. They even let me store my second bag there for four days after my stay, which allowed me a significantly lighter load as I backpacked inland. Plenty of food options in the area, and a systembolaget (state run liquor store) in the Saluhall building in Medborgar square just outside the subway.

Good value for moneyPosted Jun 18, 2013
Cons: Shared bathroom
Good location , lots of bars, restaurants and an easy walk into the old town. The breakfast was good, catering for all tastes and plentiful, the homemade jams were excellent. The downside was having to 'queue' for the toilet and showers at busy times. Overall it was an enjoyable stay and climbing the stairs helped with burning the calories from breakfast!

Great value, next to Vampire LoungePosted Jun 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
This place is clean, comfy and simple, but most importantly, it's next the the vampire lounge, arguably the coolest bar in Stockholm.
