worn out and in desperate need of renovationPosted Jul 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel desperately needs fresh paint, carpets, furniture, everything! Much of the environment, actually all of it, is so worn out and scuffed up, even filthy on doors and thresholds that it's almost shocking. Good room size but our shower water gushed out onto the floor from under the tub... not from shower head. Extremely noisy even though great and convenient location. Breakfast nominally standard.

This hotel is no frills average hotel. Good value for the money. 15 minutes pleasant walk to main tourist attractions and right next to Stockholm's main shopping streets. Lots of restaurants within few blocks. Our room was decent size for European standards. Nice breakfast included.

Lovely neighborhood, old world charmPosted Jul 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
Tasteful hotel in an excellent location, convenient to Gamla Stan, Ostermalm, Kungstradgarden, Centralstation etc. A great neighborhood for the summer with many outdoor seating cafes and bars nearby. The room was quite small, but I found this to be common in Scandinavia -- it worked fine for me as I was sightseeing all day, but not a place to spread out. The service was excellent, the front desk helped me multiple times with directions, lent me an adapter cord, made a phone call for me in Swedish, etc.

Great location close to shops and harbourPosted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: Characterful rooms with genuine Scandinavian feel.
Location: Lively area with shops and cafes, but not noisy late into the night - great for families, groups or couples.
Lovely old building with lots of character and original features. Staff very friendly and helpful. Exceptionally large and tasty buffet breakfast.

Tyical old European hotel - small rooms, no AC and little furnishings. This hotel had some kind of screeching birds that made incredible noise all day and all night long. The noise reverberated off adjacent buildings.

Very great experiencePosted Jul 3, 2014 on Hotels.com
Spent one night here in late June 2014. Location was pretty central to transit and thus the main attractions. Staff were very accommodating and did an upgrade to get us in a room early when we arrived several hours before check in. Hotel is old with some bumps and scrapes around the walls and an elevator that did have a minor problem when we were there but the hotel seems well maintained with a helpful staff, very comfortable room and bed and great location for our quick stay to maximize our holiday time.

Nice hotel for basic stayPosted Jun 29, 2014
Cons: In-room facilities
It's very good, and well located, but don't expect any luxury!

nice city locationPosted Jun 26, 2014
Pros: Location and price was very reasonable.
Cons: The cafe area and bar did not seem to be open but to be fair we were there at a bank holiday.
Location: Location was good easy to find, nearby there were restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and a cinema a few doors away.
reception staff helpful and cheerful. Breakfast was lovely, large selection and topped up regularly, very clean restaurant. Location was central and easy to find.

Good hotel on a Main StreetPosted Jun 25, 2014
Pros: Rooms were clean. Newly renovated rooms had a modern bathroom with hairdryer. the bed was comfortable and the TV had many channels. Breakfast good.
Cons: The room was small for the furniture. the bathroom door had to be closed at night so that one of the occupants could get out of bed and use bathroom.
Location: It is on a main drag with restaurants and shopping a close walk. We walked to the museums, palace and harbor which took 15 min. Great walking city.
We enjoyed the hotel although the room was cramped. The location is good and the breakfast is a buffet in an attached restaurant. They have a free Finnish sauna which we did not try. Stockholm itself is a great city to visit. From the hotel you can reach all museums and the harbor and pedestrian only shopping streets within 20 minutes walking
