Incredible bang for the money!

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: The hotel is essentially a 3-star hotel but make no mistake about it. It is in a superb neighborhood and is very cozy. It provides excellent breakfast
Cons: Nothing for this price range
Location: It is nearby to everything one can imagine...literally!
The hotel is essentially a 3-star hotel but make no mistake about it. It is in a superb neighborhood and is very cozy. It provides excellent breakfast which is included in the room rate. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. The room rate fantastic for an expensive city such as Stockholm. Highly recommended...

Central location and good value.

Pros: The location was good . Only a few min walk to Nybroplan .( harbour ) . The room was comfortable , clean and pleasant. The breakfasts were good.
Cons: The carpets and lift have seen better days . The unfriendly welcome from the young female receptionist.
Location: Very close to shopping area , some caf├ęs etc. . library park opposite . Harbour only a short walk away . Nearest tube only a couple mins walk away.
After an unfriendly welcome from young receptionist, things got better. I was upgraded to a quiet facing room. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was good with a nice , powerful shower. The room had tea making facilities and a comfortable chair and desk . Sadly there was no air con during a very hot spell of weather. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice of both hot and cold food. The rest of the reception staff including the manageress were very friendly and helpful.

Pros: Easy walk to restaurants, fast cab service and enjoyable area to walk in. Breakfast included in room rate.
Cons: Rooms warm on hot days and no fans with a very odd configurated bathroom.
Location: Short hop to Gamla Stan, train and ferry service.
Relaxing area to visit with several tourist attractions nearby with a short cab ride or bus service. The Nordic and Vasa Museums are next to each other and well worth it. The new ABBA Museum in same area is terribly overpriced and the exhibits were in several SMALL rooms and not suitable for crowds.

Hotel in Stockholm city centre

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Stayed here for three nights at the end of an interrailing tour of Sweden. Crystal Plaza is an old hotel with a lot of charm. Staff were friendly & helpful. Breakfast was good. Only problem was the inefficient air conditioning which we badly needed as daytime teperatures reached 30 degrees C during our stay. Otherwise very pleased & would definately stay here again - but not during a heatwave!

Unobtrusively efficient staff. Room due for upgrading, especially the bathroom. Comfortable, clean beds. Small balcony. No air co. Nice, ample breakfast. Good value.

Pros: Characterful rooms with genuine Scandinavian feel.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Lively area with shops and cafes, but not noisy late into the night - great for families, groups or couples.
Lovely old building with lots of character and original features. Staff very friendly and helpful. Exceptionally large and tasty buffet breakfast.

Pros: Location and price was very reasonable.
Cons: The cafe area and bar did not seem to be open but to be fair we were there at a bank holiday.
Location: Location was good easy to find, nearby there were restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and a cinema a few doors away.
reception staff helpful and cheerful. Breakfast was lovely, large selection and topped up regularly, very clean restaurant. Location was central and easy to find.

Good hotel on a Main Street

Posted Jun 25, 2014
Pros: Rooms were clean. Newly renovated rooms had a modern bathroom with hairdryer. the bed was comfortable and the TV had many channels. Breakfast good.
Cons: The room was small for the furniture. the bathroom door had to be closed at night so that one of the occupants could get out of bed and use bathroom.
Location: It is on a main drag with restaurants and shopping a close walk. We walked to the museums, palace and harbor which took 15 min. Great walking city.
We enjoyed the hotel although the room was cramped. The location is good and the breakfast is a buffet in an attached restaurant. They have a free Finnish sauna which we did not try. Stockholm itself is a great city to visit. From the hotel you can reach all museums and the harbor and pedestrian only shopping streets within 20 minutes walking
