Great hotel - closer to town than it looksPosted Feb 21, 2014
Pros: The location. Convenient travel to the city. Helpful staff. Nice, stylish room. Great breakfast buffet.
Cons: My only complaint was that there wasn't a soda/drink machine anywhere in the hotel. Obviously a minor gripe.
Location: The area directly around the hotel is beautiful and there are some great foot paths but any real activities are several minutes away. But not far.
When I took the bus to the hotel I thought I had made a mistake because it seemed a long way from the city center. The next day when I took the bus back in I realized it wasn't far. There is a ferry (a small boat on a schedule like a bus) that picks up about 50 feet from the door of the hotel and puts you in the center of the city in just a few minutes. I also discovered walking trails that took me to the nightlife part of the city quickly. The hotel itself is beautiful and is located between a small "cliff" and the bay. It is really beautiful. The room was large for the price and it was nicely laid out. It was comfortable and stylish. The hotel staff were EXTREMELY helpful and would gladly spend time helping you figure out how to navigate a foreign city. I can't say enough about how great they were. The breakfast buffet was fantastic and had an enormous selection.

Words Cannot Describe The HasslePosted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: Actually, nice water view. Comfortable rooms. Nice lobby bar and meeting space.
Cons: So--you have to self park, which means driving back around the hotel--and then finding your way through a maze of elevators and walkways. Seriously!
Location: Quiet residential area. Nothing to do nearby. Very peaceful setting.
The hotel itself is fine and the room was certainly acceptable. My first impression was colored by my surprise at the large unkempt housekeeping carts that were in the hall outside my room when I checked in at 9pm. Here is the problem: The hotel has no parking. It does have a few spots outside for 15 minutes. What happened to me was that the front desk told me to drive around the building to a parking garage and park there, neglecting to tell me that I had to park on certain floors. This resulted in getting a parking ticket of 300SEK. Fair enough. But, when I checked out and offered to pay it through my credit card company, the Hotel management said that they weren't allowed to do this. Crazy! Instead they told me that I would have to pay it through wire transfer once I got home. (Or presumably somehow while I was still in Sweden) Unfortunately, this meant that I would then have to work through my bank and get a wire transfer at an additional cost---and I still haven't been able to get my small regional bank to understand what needs to be done to pay this bill. There is no website or phone number listed on the parking ticket. Imagine all the additional time and expense that this has caused! Now of course I am concerned that I'll have additional charges from my car rental company. The hotel did offer to give me a credit for a future stay but of course who wants to stay in a hotel that has treated me so poorly! The staff themselves are fine, the policy needs to be changed!

A wonderful stay with a superb spa. Perfect for a romantic getaway or an event. Slightly far from the city for regular tourists who want easy acesss to Stockholm CBD. Cannot fault he hotel though. Best I have experienced in Scandinavia on many levels! 10/10!

Great HotelPosted Oct 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was quite nice. The location of the hotel was a little out of the way from the nearest train station but otherwise was exactly what we needed.

Luxurious hotel in quiet surroundingsPosted Sep 24, 2013
Pros: The ambience, food and quiet environment.
Cons: It would have been nice to have a small kettle and tea and coffee making facilities in the room, which one would expect in a 4 star hotel.
Location: There are very few pubs and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. There is a fish restaurant FB Sea 10 minute walk along the river.
We stayed here for a exercise convention for 3 nights. The breakfasts were excellent, plenty of choice and food was fresh. We ate in the hotel and although high prices (which tends to be the case in Sweden) the food was delicious and well worth the dining experience. The hotel is situated out of the centre of Stockholm and across the river. The hotels has lovely views across to parts of the main town, which is easily accessible by a 20 minute river taxi from outside the hotel. There are also good bus services that run just a 5 minute walk from the hotel that run to different parts of town and link to the Tunnelbana underground. We recommend the SL card which allows you on river taxis, trams, underground and buses, which you have to buy either at Slussen station or the information centre in the town centre. You can buy a card for different numbers of days and we found it very cost effective.

Normally we wouldn't stay so far outside the city center, but we were totally thrilled to have made this choice. We had a junior suite that was large by any standards, as well as clean, comfortable and very well appointed. The pool and spa were fantastic, a great amenity to have included. We were able to get into town easily and quickly on the ferry that runs from the dock right outside the hotel and frankly the ferry rides became a highlight of our trip. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Very nice and elegant hotel next to the Bay.Posted Sep 20, 2013
A bit far from the city (about 20-30 mins by bus no. 53), but the hotel is located in a quiet area which is good for relaxing. You will find a significant view which you cannot find it in the city. You can get in and out to the city by public transportation (Bus) No. 53 which come approximately in every 15-20 mins. Good location, good room and quiet.
