Great value hotel only a short walk from centre.

Pros: Friendly helpful staff and a great breakfast buffet.
Cons: 24 hour gym access.
Location: There are plenty of bars and restaurants close, MSVEET restaurant is pricey but a real treat. You can walk to Gamla Stan (the old town) in 25-30 mins.
I have stayed here 4 times. I got fantastic rates on this hotel which has all the facilities that the much more costly hotels do. Restaurant, bar, gym, nice rooms etc. My only gripe is that the gym shuts at 10pm, probably not an issue for most, but I like to work out later sometimes. I recommend this hotel to all my friends and business colleagues who need to stay in Stockholm. Good value is hard to find in Sweden these days, but the Birger Jarl is just that.

Good modern hotell not too far from the centre of

Location: There's lots of information available on places to visit, I found the "Top 10" section on http://beta.visitstockholm.com useful
This is a modern hotel with very helpfull staff. The room was comfortable with a good sized bed, a shower room and a kettle is provided to make hot drinks though they only appear to leave one tea bag . one sachet of coffee, a single portion of powdered creamer and one sugar cube per person per night which was a bit dissapointing. There was a good choice of breakfast which was included in the room rate. The hotel is about 1.5km from Sergels torg in the centre of Stockholm so its an easy walk to most of the attractions including Gamla Stan. There are other hotels which are more central but I would have no hesitation in booking this hotel again

Very clean hotel - with nice breakfast!

Stayed at this hotel for only one night in a cabin like room - but I enjoyed it! Somehow, it gives me a space to reflect and focus! The location though is bit away from the nearest Metro, although the vicinity has all the restaurants and supermarkets. Love the stay and the breakfast was great too!

An excellent hotel, great value, and helpful staff. I was impressed when the lady at the reception offered to pack a breakfast pack for me since I was checking out to catch an early flight. It was there as promised, and I think it was the thought that counted more than anything else. I have stayed at some very high end hotels -- never had this kind of offer / service.
