Very charming, elegant, old-world style that did not feel dusty and ancient. Loved that the hotel was directly off the strandvagen & walking distance to restaurants, grocery stores, kungstragaden, & musees. The staff was lovely! We would return.

This hotel is a bit of a legend with Stockholmers. Art nouveu and twentieth century modern collide. I wouldnt want this changed. However, when I arrived I found there was no lift to my level. If i had known this, i would have booked next door. I think it only fair to alert prospective guests that could be a considerable inconvenience to some. However staff were quick to take up /down luggage. If you can manage atairs - then enjoy the old fasioned luxury of thexEsplanade

The hotel is older which I love and the staff are all wonderful - especially Carina (very helpful and a wonderful host for the hotel). Only issues is the hotel does not have parking and I unfortunately got three tickets on the side street so learn the parking rules. Otherwise love the hotel, tea/latte machine, and living area where you can watch the boats go by.

The place might be quite inconspicuous, but the staff were excellent at their service, the room was cozy and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The sauna available to the guests was very relaxing as well!

Excellent location hotel with pleasant staff and great breakfast. Reasonably large, old-fashioned (in a nice, quirky way) rooms - ours had a lovely shared balcony with a view over the courtyard and harbour. It would have been very nice to have a kettle in the room (even if one could nip downstairs to get coffee or tea if required). Overall the styling of the hotel felt homely, but some of the furniture (like the bed and cupboard) could be updated for a more luxurious feel. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and hope to be back sometime soon!

This hotel was in a nice location. The area was safe and quiet even though it was on a busy street. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious. Our room was very spacious and the hotel has great comfy lounge areas. It was a very special hotel to end our stay in Stockholm.

The hotel was a little old fashioned but in a lovely position. It lacked a lift which was an issue for me, but the room was clean and a reasonable size and the breakfast generous. Tea and coffee available always but no facility for hot drinks in rooms.

Yes we are a little hidden gem! Actually some guests do not find the entrance to the hotel, because it´s not on the main street. You have to enter the hotel from the quart yard! Welcome back!

Delightful boutique hotel
A gem. A charming art nouveau (Jugundstil) building and interior, modernised enough for contemporary comfort, but no more. Small, good breakfast though slightly limited, will definitely return.

A beautiful gem in the heart of Stockholm
We were met with a warm welcome and beautiful surroundings. It is a small hotel of only 34 rooms but it has such character. The rooms are clean and simple with high ceilings and big windows. It felt like staing in a stately home. Couldn't recomend it more.

I've stayed here a few times now and will again. Great location (I walked everywhere I needed to be from the hotel), lovely breakfast, nice staff. I had a recently refurbished room which has been nicely done. Nice toiletries. The rooms are small, but I'm only in them to sleep. If you book a single room, it really is a single room, but I'm ok with that.

Stockholm splendor
Right next to the harbour with tram and bus stops near by. There are no lifts to the upper floors as it is an old heritage building.

Nice cozy rooms
Very nice hotel in the center of the city. Easy to get anywhere, parking is difficult but expected due to location. Staff is very friendly. The standard rooms are very standard and pretty small. Bathrooms where clearly not originally expected in the room. We managed to have 2 checked bags, 2 carry on bags, and 2 backpacks and still be able to not feel completely trapped. We would stay again but definitely get a larger room.

staff - all excellent, pleasant and very helpful; area in Stockholm was fabulous - proximity to everything we wanted to see and had time to visit was excellent and as advertised; the room was somewhat attenuated, the shower did not work, and the bathroom was VERY small - the room did not look as updated, "new" and attractive as the pictures on line.
