“A gem”

I travel a lot on business and wish there were a hotel like this in every city! Excellent breakfast layout - great eclectic decor and really wonderful staff. Location is perfect. A hotel with personality and comfort. I loved it and would come back.

“smart, comfortable and different : perfect.”

I stayed 5 nights last week at the Hellsten hotel and was delighted with my choice. Even though I booked a single room (always slightly the poor parent in any hotel), my room was extremely pleasant, comfortable and with a slick 'decors', looking on others buildings' courtyard. The hotel itself is superb, with a very welcoming, homely feel while looking smart and unusual in decoration. The staff is always there if you need anything but also discreet. You can access the 2 internet points easily, book the sauna or use the gym, all very easily. The striking- looking bar has music evenings quite often.The location is a little away from the bustling center but quiet and nice. I would definitely go back there if I visit Stockholm again.

“to use again”

I have booked the hotel at the last minute for new years eve and location was important because i was staying only 3 days. the room is a bit on the small side (being a single room may explain why) however it had a pretty balcony and you didn't feel claustrophobic - nice clean shower room and the breakfast buffet was a must. complimentary hot tea and coffee in the lounge area a nice touch considering the -10C outside. will go back!

“Good hotel”

We stayed 4 nights and the hotel was very comfortable and in a great location from which to get around Stockholm. Would definately stay at the Hellsten again.

“Fabulous”

This is a great place to stay, and it's comparatively inexpensive on the overall Stockholm scale. One important note: The hotel is located within walking distance of all the attractions, but it is also about 1 min walk from the subway station Radmansgattan, which is only two stations away from the Central Station on green line, so if you are like me, and get to Stockholm in the dark, it is really easy to just take the tube. After you get out, walk the street to your left away from the station and take the first turn left.

“Convenient to City Center”

The Hellsten Hotel is charming hotel, nicely decorated and maintained. If there were one complaint it would be that the rooms are small, but certainly comfortable and functional. It is conveniently located 30 minutes walking from teh Central train Station, convenient to restaurants, shopping and transportation. The breakfast layout is excellent, and amenities in the common sitting room is a nice touch. I would definitely come back.

“Great value, very comfortable, convenient”

The hotel looks a little inauspicious on the way in - very minimalist and a little like a night club. But the rooms are extremely comfortable, clean and the bar/restaurant are good. This hotel is well located and very good value for money.

“Friendly”

Very friendly staff. They had a great live band in the bar on Saturday night. We stayed in a small double room which was just big enough for the small double bed. I would call it cosy. Very good breakfast.

“Wonderful hotel”

I was wondering what i was walking into when i arrived at the Hellsten Hotel. The entrance to the reception was quite dramatic, black slate walls, quite dark and 'cave like'. However this was just the theme of the hotel. The rooms, corridors, dining area and bar were all bright ans spaceous. The breakfast was great, lovely bread/rolls, meats, cheeses and you could even make your own waffles! The staff were very helpful, recommending places to eat and directions to the city centre. I would recommend this hotel without any hesitation.

“Cheerful and stylish”

The staff at this hotel are exceptionally helpful and cheerful. While the rooms are small, they are very tastefully decorated. The breakfast room is delightfully airy and the food is definitely better than the customary fare. Although not exactly centrally located, the hotel is right near several types of efficient public transportation and within walking distance of the main jumping-off point for most Stockholm activities. I think I got real value for what I spent.
