Rica Hotel Kungsgatan, the best shopping Hotel in Stockholm, has its own elevator right down to the stores. The Hotel is part of the PUB classic department store on Hötorget city square. Its location, at the corner of two prime shopping streets, Kungsgatan and Drottninggatan, offers you a varied, high-end selection of shopping, restaurants and entertainment, basically just round the corner. Our extensive breakfast buffet, which is included in your room rate, offers huge freedom of choice to compose your own breakfast menu, whether you prioritize a healthy start to your day or want a little luxury.

The Hotel has its own entrance on Kungsgatan 47. The elevator goes to the reception and lobby on the fourth floor. If you're arriving by air, we recommend the Arlanda Express rail-link to Stockholm Central station. If you're coming by coach or train to Centralen/Cityterminalen, take a left on Vasagatan then right onto Kungsgatan towards Stureplan. The Hotel is some 400 m up on your right, just before Hötorget. If you're coming by car, follow the signs to Hötorget/Konserthuset and you can park in Hötorgsgaraget underground car park. You drive in from Sveavägen, the entrance is behind Konserthuset Concert Hall, and pedestrian access is onto Sergelgatan. There's an entrance to Hötorget subway station on the other side of Hötorget. You can catch local buses on Kungsgatan, by Hötorget, just outside the Hotel, there's also a taxi rank. We recommend Taxi Stockholm environmental taxis, which you can book from reception.

Rooms vary in size, and most have been recently renovated, from compact, value-for-money budget accommodation (some are windowless, and can be made really dark and cozy for a good night’s sleep) to large, deluxe rooms (mini-suites), with great views over Hötorget market or all the life of Drottninggatan shopping street. All rooms are furnished in a contemporary Scandinavian style, complete with cozy Jensen-brand beds for an excellent hotel experience right in the heart of Stockholm. The Hotel has a four-star rating, Svanen environmental certification, is fully non-smoking and only some 500 m from the Stockholm Central/Arlanda Express terminal.

There’s a lobby bar and lounge next to reception, when you where you can relax with a coffee, glass of wine or cool beer with a snack and take in the view over Hötorget square. There is also a bar menu available. Publik Restaurant & Bar, popular with hungry and thirsty shoppers, is on the third floor of PUB department store, and is accessible by elevator directly from the Hotel. Kungshallen food court, with 15 restaurants and 800 covers under one roof, is opposite the Hotel. Great dining experiences await you at the array of small restaurants surrounding the Hotel and down towards Stureplan. Many of them are really popular, so we recommend you book a table a few days in advance. As well as restaurants, there’s great entertainment on your doorstep, along Kungsgatan and down towards Stureplan, just five minutes' walk away. There’s plenty of shopping in the same building as the Hotel (including trendy interior design store R.O.O.M. on PUB.03), as well as right outside the Hotel, along Drottninggatan or Sergelgatan down to Sergels Torg square and the prestigious Gallerian shopping mall. If you want culture, head south along Drottninggatan, via Kulturhuset cultural center, the Swedish House of Parliament, Royal Palace, and continue to the Old Town (Gamla Stan), some 10 minutes’ walk away. You can get to many of Stockholm's major theaters within a few minutes, and as well as the historical Centralbadet spa with its health center and gym. Tickets to a wide range of sightseeing tours are available from reception. The Filmstaden Sergel multiplex is just 50 m from the Hotel, on the same site as Hötorgshallen, an amazing indoor market right, which is a must-see.
