Upon arriving after a 14 hour day on the road with three kids, we were denied check in because Expedia had not paid the hotel. Mind you, I had a paid in full receipt from Expedia but because BW’s “hands were tied” and they were still “waiting for payment”, we could not check in. We had hustled to make it in time for the kids to swim before the pool closed and I had even told the young man working the desk this. I know he was doing his job, but he did little to nothing to make us comfortable while we waited for Expedia to fix their error. Long story short, my kids didn’t get to swim and burn any energy after a long ride. Also we paid for five people and the hotel only provided enough towels for three. From here on out, I will be double checking with hotel prior to check in to make sure Expedia’s affairs are in order. I’ve never had a problem with Expedia before so I’m not sure where the real problem was. But I have a feeling it was BW’s since I’ve heard from a couple others staying with BW having similar issues.
