Excellent overnight stopover

Our standard room was better than most hotel 'deluxe' rooms. The king size bed was really comfortable. Only downside was the room was really warm and we couldn't open the windows! Highly recommended.

Gorgeous hotel

Posted Aug 20, 2013
Pros: Special touches like the tea pot and conditioner in the room. Great selection of fresh fruit for breakfast.
Cons: The hot breakfast.
Location: Next to Hardwick Hall Park.
The hotel itself is beautiful. You are greeted with a grand entranceway and there are beautiful grounds and a lake. The d├ęcor is sumptuous and rooms are clean and well equipped with special touches. What let the hotel down was the hot breakfast. Considering how much we paid on top for the breakfast it was a buffet and there were no hash browns out and only scrambled eggs were available. We asked for poached eggs and hash browns for my vegetarian partner, which they gladly gave, but it would be nice if these options were offered when entering the breakfast room. Also, vegetarian sausages would be most considerate.

Relaxing break

Hardwick Hotel is set in the grounds of a country park and is the perfect place to stay for business or pleasure. The resturant attached to the hotel is Ok if your choice is Steak! but little else could do with more on the menu.

Lovely Hotel

Excellent Hotel. Confusion with our booking when we arrived but soon sorted out and we were upgraded to the Premier Suite which was fabulous. The De-luxe rooms were also very well appointed. The Hotel waas decorated very tastefully for the Christmas festivities. We would certainly stay there again.
