Nice place!Posted Nov 26, 2012
Pros: Lake view
Cons: slow elevator
Nice, clean, comfortable, updated hotel. Beautiful location on the lake. Did not use the water park which is one of the main features of the hotel, I believe - but fellow travelers said it was "awesome". Restaurant was nice and well priced.

Super clean, super nice!Posted Oct 8, 2012
Pros: The beautiful setting. The cleanliness
Cons: A bit pricey if you're not there for the waterpark.
Location: Great location.
My husband and I and my in-laws spent the weekend here. We all had a terrific experience. The hotel was so clean, the rooms were big, the staff was friendly, and the views of the lake and the sunset were awesome. We enjoyed watching a football game in the lounge and the fireplace in the lobby was great on Sunday morning.

Right in your own back yard???Posted Aug 1, 2012
Pros: We took 10 kids for an overnight birthday party and had a blast (ages 6 to 14). Easy to get around within the hotel and water park; staff is AWESOME
Location: Easy to find; lots of eating places close by
This is a great hotel for a family get away whether it's a week-end or weekday. The indoor swimming pool opens at 9 AM and is wonderful for toddlers and keeps even older children occupied for hours. The outdoor pool open from 11 AM to 7 PM is exceptional and has places for younger children to play while the older kids and grown-ups enjoy the outrageous slides, lazy river, and diving boards. You can request a lakeside room with a deck and enjoy the breezes coming off the lake after the little ones have fallen asleep from a long day of playing in the pools. This is truly a great place for the whole family to enjoy at a great price. There are small town restaurants with home cooked meals close to Kings Pointe as well as good old McDonald's. You have to try this diamond in the rough!

Very Nice Place to Spend a NightPosted Dec 4, 2011
We were very pleased with Kings Pointe and would definitely stay there again. All of the personnel were pleasant and helpful. The room was roomy, attractive, and clean. The dining area was exceptional. The lake was lovely to see in early December, but it must be truly beautiful in the summer.

GREAT HOTEL AND WATER PARK!!!Posted Mar 29, 2011
Perfect for the ages of our kids. Ages 2, 5 ,6. I have been to other indoor waterpark resorts. Not naming names kansas city has one.. In this resort I could sit in one spot and see my children where ever they were, water slides, lily pads, lazy river, the play thing,, I cant wait to visit again.. Also no need for any life jackets being my 5 and 6 year old could touch wherever they were. Very affordable!!

Nice Hotel, couple of problems, though.Posted Dec 29, 2010
Very nice hotel with a water park. However, our room smelled very badly. We complained and were given another room. Another issue, the next morning while getting ready for the day, maintenance opened my door with no warning. Fortunately, I had the secondary lock engaged and he was unable to fully open the door. My wife and I were both in various stages of getting dressed. After he realized that we were in the room, he said we reported a burned out light bulb to the front desk. We had not made such a report. I really thought it was strange that he did not knock and wait for us to answer. Actually, I was pretty irritated that he would just unlock the door and open it up. Like I said, we had the second latch engaged so he didn't get the door open, but it was quite a shock to have the door begin to open when you are both half naked.
