Cons: The noise from the road
Location: Great, but only if you're wearing ear plugs
Sadly, we were expecting something of a much higher standard than what we actually got. The location of the complex right next to the busy N2 meant that we could hear the rumbling traffic all night. We had to keep the windows open because there was no air conditioning and the ceiling fan sounded like a helicopter! The lodge was clean (ish) and had all amenities you'd expect, but bits of tile were cracked or missing, filttings were a bit old fashioned and really the lodges looked like they had seen much better days. With a bit of attention this place could be great, but I'd definitely recommend that you ask for a lodge that is furthest from the road - and facing the forest so as not to hear the rumbling traffic noise, which is not what one would expect when the place is advertised as being in the middle of a National Park! Whilst there is nothing wrong with these lodges and probably a lovely place to spend a family holiday, it is not what was promised and certainly not worth the money. Don't go if you are expecting a luxurious, peaceful lodge in the middle of a forest!
