“Want to return next year”
My wife and I have stayed at the Green Mountain Inn before we went to celebrate our anniversary. The service was great and the staff went out of there way to make our stay a good one.
“One of the best stays for the value”
Great service and hospitality. Good value for the money. Good amneties including jacuzzi in room, sauna, common jacuzzi, gym, heated pool, game room, complementary internet, complementary tea and cookies. Neat. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Good location since you can park your car in the hotel and walk to all the shops. Would definitely go back to stay.
“Great off-season getaway”
Mid November turned out to be a great time to visit... very nice upgraded room, very pleasant atmosphere throughout and extremely helpful staff.
“Great Inn”
Stayed two nights, would love to go back again soon.
“A great place to stay in Stowe”
This was our first visit to Vermont. The Green Mountain Inn is a great place to stay in Stowe. It is located right in town so you can walk to all the shops and many restaurants. The towels were the best towels ever. They were thick and soft. The staff was super friendly. My only complaint is that the rooms were very dated and worn out looking. Other than that, a great place to stay.
“Oodles of rustic charm and local history...with one caveat”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The staff was incredibly attentive, pleasant and helpful. The inn, which has hosted guests since 1833, is a treasure trove of local history, all recounted in pictorial detail in several areas of the hotel. There are abundant alcoves, rustic murals as well as pleasant common areas warmed by wood-burning fireplaces, making the atmosphere quite welcoming & cozy indeed! The inn's restaurant served very tasty fare indeed. The Green Mountain Inn is situated in the very heart of Stowe, which makes an easy walk to a good variety of shops in the area. The only caveat we would add is that our room (a "standard queen" ) was quite small. It seemed somehow in keeping with the rustic, 'pragmatic' priorities of an inn nearly 180 years of age, and didn't bother us in the least, as the inn's other charms more than offset this nit. It was a very enjoyable experience for us!
“Green Mountain Inn Honeymoon”
We chose the Green Mountain Inn in Stowe, VT for our honeymoon in July. We were more than impressed and pleased with our entire experience from check in to check out. The Inn was easy to find, had adequate parking, friendly, attentive staff, a wonderful ambiance and comfortable amenities. I had mentioned when I called to confirm our reservation that were were on our honeymoon and upon entering our room we found a bottle of champagne and a card of congratulations from the staff at the Inn. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the room to be comfortable, quiet and relaxing. Loved the tub for 2 and the fireplace. The Inn was located within walking distance to many shops, restaurants and points of interest and was just a short drive from many more. Although we tried several of the local restaurants our favorite meals were at The Whip. We also enjoyed breakfast at the Inn and even took home 4 loaves of the wonderful fresh made bread. We would certainly recommend the Green Mountain Inn to anyone heading to Stowe. We're already planning a return visit.
“Very Comfortable and Convenient”
My wife and I were in Stowe for a wedding and stayed two nights at the Green Mountain Inn located in the heart of Stowe Village. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The original Inn itself is quite beautiful and the Inn's staff very polite and accommodating. The food was excellent, especially the breads and pasteries made inhouse. We found the prices reasonable and highly recommend the Green Mountain Inn to fellow travelers.
“Would totally stay here again!”
This hotel is very quaint and comfortable. Great quality for the price. The location is wonderful if you're visiting the Stowe or Burlington area.
“Oasis in Stowe”
Very comfortable room. We overlooked the pool on the inner courtyard which was gorgeous and peaceful. Fantastic gym & spa, very nice heated pool. Extremely good location in center of town, but quiet inside. Very good room rate for the quality of room - we will be back!
