The hills are alive!!

Posted Jul 28, 2015
Pros: Location, room.
Cons: Room service?
Location: Central location near Shelburne Farm and Museums, Von Trapp lodge, Ben and Jerry factory, maple farms. Neat shops and galleries nearby.
What a nice change from our previous week in New York! Our suite was beautiful, with a separate living area and our own Jacuzzi tub. The landscaping around the whole complex was immaculate...and peaceful. The Inn is close to many interesting sites to visit and is surrounded by great dining opportunities. The Whip restaurant on site offered the best meals we had while on our 2 week vacation in DC and New York city. Service was nothing less than outstanding!

Posted Jul 18, 2015
Pros: Everything
Cons: Can't improve its fantastic
Wow what a luvly place to stay, we were just passing through and stayed for one night, wish it could have been for more. The service, staff, room, restaurant and pool was all excellent. If I'm every pass through it will be a must to stay.

Warm and inviting, like staying at a friends home

Posted Jul 7, 2015
Location: We went hiking, zip lining, paddle boarding and kayaking.
Great location. Able to walk to shops and the walking trail. Nice pool/Jacuzzi area. Love the history of the building and the picture story throughout. Well maintained for a Historic "old" Inn. Staff very friendly. Nice Breakfast.

Charming is as charming does!

Posted Jun 26, 2015
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Wouldn't change a thing.
Location: The Sound of Music was one of my favorites growing up. The Trapp family lodge and burial place of Maria and the Captain were only a few miles away.
This little Inn was beautiful. Being my first time in Vermont it felt exactly like what I'd pictured. Conveniently located with the best restaurant in town, I'd definitely return. The only downside is my husband is 6'7" and the rooms were a little tight. Aside from that, it was perfect.

Comfy bed and great room. A little confusing of a building but added to its charm and experience. Loved it.

Historic Vermont Inn

Posted Jun 17, 2015
Pros: the spacious, period decorated rooms
Cons: access to rooms - lots of steps
Location: close to Trapp Family Lodge, ski areas, lots of restaurants
Green Mountain Inn is charming; with large spacious rooms furnished with early American decor. The breakfast buffet in a sunny street side room was wonderful. The Whip restaurant in the Inn also offered a variety of delicious meals. The staff was very courteous and helpful.
