Great 'getting-away-from-it-all' location.

Posted Nov 30, 2014
Pros: Uniqueness - not 'cookie-cutter'. Family friendly in a way that does not disturb adults.
Cons: An 'on-demand' entertainment system offering movies would be a good addition. May have been an oversight but we did not have a plastic laundry bag.
Location: Mt. Mansfield/Stowe Resort skiing
Wonderful atmosphere for an alpine escape. May not meet the needs of "all the chain-comforts and points'"travelers but great because it didn't feel like a business trip hotel. Nothing cookie-cutter about the property and great value for skiing nearby Mt. Mansfield. Great common rooms with roaring fires and nooks and crannies the kids put their electronics down to explore.

good hotel

Posted Nov 30, 2014
Cons: Everything was OK except for the difficulty of finding and talking to the staff.
When we arrived the hotel at 9:30pm, the staff left our room key with a letter in an envelope and nobody in front desk. We had to ask somebody in living room to get the direction. The room was big and clean.

Great experience

Traveled here for our 5th anniversary. Distance to local attractions was a major plus. The breakfast was decent, we wished it changed up day to day. The pub was great, the food even better! The prices seemed a bit high, but WOW did the flavor deliver. Overall, was a splendid place to celebrate our anniversary! Thank you

Stowehof Inn

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: The view was magnificent as were the inn's grounds.
Cons: The Inn's rooms need to be updated ie. beds
Location: Excellent area and many sites to see.
The room was very small and the bed was old and inadequate for the price that was charged.

The room and bathroom had a strange smell. Really unsure of what they were attempting to cover up. Overall the stay was nice for the price.

Excellent getaway

We loved spending the week-end there, it is a place to visit...beautiful hotel, clean, nice staff, breathtaking views...if you have a chance, take the Scenic Route 108...very nice...the only negative point : the water from the Jacuzzi had an odd smell, like you are in the lake but besides that..everything positive! all the antiques in the hotel, the very confy bed, delicious breakfast bar, we discovered lots of old things there...a place to go again! (when price in special, otherwise, it is a bit expensive )

Hôtel situé dans la montagne

Posted Aug 29, 2014

The rustic feel of the hotel brought back wonderful memories. It was an enjoyable stay.
