great location, friendly staff

Posted Mar 22, 2015
The location is great. Convenient to Main St and tons of restaurant options within walking distance. Hotel rooms are a little dated, but the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast included was fine, nothing fantastic, but a nice option. Rooms were clean, but bathrooms and decor a bit dated.

Infamous ghost Charlie appeared. Hotel staff knew but was not informed about it.

Good value, with minor minor problems

Posted Mar 15, 2015
Pros: Wi-Fi was a nice perk; although, it was slow, with multiple users late afternoon and evening. Was fine in the early morning hours.
Cons: Better attention to cleaning and allow rooms to air out after cleaning.
Location: Location is great. Convenient to town, shops, and on the road to the mountain.
Check-in clerk was pleasant and efficient. On getting to 'economy' room, we were hit with a very strong odor of cleaning chemicals or deodorizing spray (like Fabreeze). My wife's throat immediately began to 'close.' We opened the door to the outside air and turned on the exhaust fan in the bathroom. We aired the room out for half an hour, then left, returning an hour later. At this point the smell had abated, and we were okay. Toilet bowl, particularly top and outer rim had not been cleaned. No biggie, I suppose, but so easy to do right.

ideal for a ski holiday great hospitality

Posted Mar 8, 2015
Pros: The friendly welcome and hospitality. They encouraged us to go to an art class in the hotel on our final night. Art with a drink in your hand ,great!
Cons: a quieter heater in our room
Location: Close to the town and restaurants
A very friendly and hospitable hotel. It is close to the centre of Stowe within walking distance of the pretty town and on the route to the ski slopes. we had a car but the ski bus stops right outside. What makes this place stand out is the friendliness and hospitality of the staff who go out of their way to make your stay special.

Wait staff treats you like family. They are extremely friendly and kind. Room was perfect for a quick one night stay but I could see spending more time there.

Frozen Nightmare

Posted Mar 5, 2015
A friend and me checked in and the woman who was at the counter instantly changed our room from the main hotel to their secondary building. I guess she did not like the looks of us. When we got in the room it was less than 60 degrees inside. We turned the heat on and left to go to dinner. When we got back it was the same temp. The hotel said that the boiler broke. You would think that they would move you or something but no. This also ment no hot water. So after waking up like a Popsicle and getting stuck paying the bill I'm sorry to say that I won't ever be back.

Pros: clean nice restaurant and bar
Cons: customer service and organization
Location: great skiing and dining
upon our arrival at 730pm, there was a delay in the preparation of our room. the hotel did offer a complimentary beverage, which was more than sufficient, however, after delivering our key to us, they gave us the wrong room key, at which point, we entered a room that was already occupied. which obviously, was very disappointing, for both parties.

Worst roome I have ever stayed in

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: Absolutely nothing.
Stayed one night after flying into the Morrisville Airport. The room was old and dated. There were mouse droppings on the radiators. The tub was disgustingly dirty and stained. The TV remote wouldn't work. There were hairs on my pillows. Not enough light and when I walked into the room neither light switch worked. I had to use a flashlight to find a working lamp. Bathroom walls were covered with patched unpainted holes in the sheetrock. Not much more to say except stay away!
