Relaxing accommodationPosted Jan 3, 2015 on Hotels.com
My family of 6 stayed at this lovely hotel. The suites were spacious and very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful.Breakfast was great! We would certainly recommend staying at Barberstown Castle after a great day's shopping at the Kildare Village Outlet!Very relaxing.

Lovely getawayPosted Jan 2, 2015 on Hotels.com
Very pleasant stay. Excellent food. The rooms are really great, 4poster beds and the bathroom has a really good shower. There are plenty of things to do in the area once you have a car, and it's quite close to Dublin. Definitely going back.

beautiful hotelPosted Jan 1, 2015 on Hotels.com
Stayed at hotel for two nights while attending a wedding there. Room was beautiful with four poster bed. Very comfy and turn down service with a butler's chocolate, lovely gesture. Had dinner in tea rooms, very tasty in lovely open fire room. Breakfast next morning in another open fire room. Lovely on a cold frosty morning. Wedding dinner was lovely. Hope to return in the near future

It doesn't get any better than this. Top class hotel. One of the best get away's in europe. Everything is top class about it. Go on book it and spoil yourself you won't get better.

A great place to stay for a relaxing week-endPosted Dec 16, 2014 on Hotels.com
Barberstown Castle is an extremely nice homely hotel. We enjoyed sitting by the fire on a cold Winter's day. The food in the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner was excellent. The bedroom and en suite bathroom were spacious and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. We're already planning to go back.

Unlocked bedroomPosted Oct 3, 2014 on Hotels.com
My one negative. When we looked for our bedroom key to retire around midnight, the reception could not locate our key. We were forced to sleep in an unlocked room for the night. As well as that there was the thought that our room might have been raided while we attended a wedding at the K Club. I had left the key on the the counter of reception when I ordered tea in the early afternoon which we had in the lounge. The key had still not been located when we checked out on Sunday

Lovely Country HotelPosted Jul 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
Just outside of Dublin, Barberstown was beautiful. The restaurant is only open Friday and Saturday, and we stayed on a Sunday night so we were only able to eat in the tea room. The food was still excellent. Breakfast was served in the most beautiful room off the oldest part of the estate, the "castle". The gardens were AMAZING and the room was lovely and filled with antique furniture. It was quiet and serene, perfect for a calm getaway from urban Dublin.

Near Dublin airport but outside congested cityPosted Jun 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
Beautiful large rooms. Hotel has lots of character as a portion of the building is a castle tower built in the 13th century. One suggestion for the manager: LOWER THE VOLUME OF THE MUSIC IN THE PUBLIC AREAS! HARD TO RELAX WITH MUSIC BLARING!

Nice "high end" accommodationPosted May 29, 2013
Only had a chance to stay one very short night but the room and hotel in general were gorgeous. The bed could have been a tiny bit more comfortable but overall is a great hotel and I would stay there again. There aren't any pubs or "casual" dining establishments nearby so plan on dressing for dinner in the hotel "tea room". Great hotel.

Love itPosted Jun 1, 2011 on Hotels.com
Cost a bit extra stayed only one night totally worth it ! Only one slight problem booked into this 5 star restaurant the food was a littlle dry and under seasoned but the rest fabulous recommend having the high tea in the sun room! And great added breakfast...
