Probably the best hotel stay I have ever hadPosted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: Clean, beautiful locale, friendly staff.
Cons: The games in the game room were all not working- we lost many quarters before the kids gave up.
Location: Beautiful beachfront, near main street and many shops.
This place was a total surprise for the price, it was a beautiful hotel and location. Pool and hot tub were great, rooms were cleaner than I have seen before, and the décor was very nice. Balcony feature looking out to the water was great and there was even chairs and a fire pit out back by the beach.

Only one chair in the room making it difficult toPosted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: The personnel
Cons: Cleaning of the walkways
Location: A ways from the center of town. Had to drive to get anywhere.
Disappointed we did not have a room facing the lake. The breakfast was lacking fruit and eggs.

Room was nice.Posted Aug 25, 2014
Cons: Exterior cleanliness
The interior of the room was nice but the exterior stairs and walkway needed to be swept of all of the dead bugs and debris. The window over the hot tub had spider webbs on the outside with dead bugs in it-needed to be swept with a broom at a minimum.

Can't see the lake from ground floor roomPosted Aug 18, 2014
Location: St. Ignace is a nice town and close to many things to do.
We were very disappointed that we weren't able to see the lake from our "lakeside" room. We were on the ground floor and all we could see was the yard, no beach. Description of the room was deceiving. The room was nice and very clean. We didn't use the coffee maker because it only made one cup at a time and there was only 1 packet of regular coffee.

ok but expensive for what it wasPosted Aug 12, 2014
people were nice enough, building was showing it's age. The drag of it is I reserved through Expedia and requested a "lake side" view, but that didn't make it to the hotel and they were less than enthusiastic as reservation was made through Expedia. The point was so we could enjoy a view (for paying that much money in prime season) and then stuck looking at a road.

Balcony roomPosted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: The room was clean and the bed was comfortable
Cons: Get rid of the smoke smell in the whole hotel area - hallways and room itself. Be sure the air conditioners work please
Location: On the lake but no access to the lake from the hotel that we found (without encroaching on others' property). Great boardwalk to walk in town.
Our room was on the main floor and we could not see the lake at all as there was long grass and trees in front of our balcony. The room smelled of smoke - but was listed as a non-smoking hotel. The air conditioner kept shutting off so the room would not cool down. The extractor fan in the bathroom was so loud that we would rather shower with the light off than listen to the noise. The room as clean however and the bed was comfortable.

We stayed two days. The motel is under renovation. The room we were assigned had never been used before. New carpet, linens, towels, etc. luxurious! The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was open until 10 am. The "backyard" is on Lake Huron. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel not crowded or loudPosted Aug 10, 2014
We stayed here for a weekend away up north. The room was cheaper and when we checked out I called expedia and they refunded the rate so we could get the cheaper rate the hotel had. But on another note, the room was great! We had king with jacuzzi tub, amazing! The air was pretty loud and we left on one day and that night it went out and we could only have the fan on so that was a downside. The balcony was an unexpected bonus. Chairs were a little dirty and had plenty of spiderwebs but we sat out a few times anyways. Only about a 40 minute walk to downtown.

Nice, but not what we had expected.Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: The price was good, but I guess you get what you pay for.
Cons: General cleaning
Location: We enjoyed the waterfalls at Pictured Rock and as always the island was great fun!!
The outside needs updating and wiping the bugs off the doors and windows would go a long way. The room was ok, a little disappointed when we found the balconies were not private. Also a mini frig would be VERY helpful too.
