“...”
Normal hotel. Nothing special. Our room had a walk out balcony that overlooked Huron River
“Days Inn Lakeside wonderful!”
The only reason I gave a couple of 4s rather than all 5s was that the breakfast left much to be desired, and the second room we stayed in had a couple of things broken (the lock you flip over the door that replaces the chain locks of years ago, and the bathtub drain that only drained when you held it with your foot, not easy to do standing in the shower). The location of the hotel, however, made up for any inconveniences...watching the sunrise over the water was amazing, and at one point there were a couple of ships anchored offshore overnight (I think because of the weather). The front desk personnel were very nice upon check-in/check-out, and the breakfast attendant was very friendly in the mornings. I highly recommend this hotel.
“poor service, dirty room, sauna and hot tub didn't work”
There was sand in our bed which they did nothing about, the sauna did not work and the hot tub was only luke warm and only half full, notified management and they shrugged their shoulders at me
“Needs some work.”
I stayed here a year ago and was happy with how it went, but the hotel sure has gone downhill since then. Bed was firm to the point of being painful, room smelled like smoke even though it was non-smoking (burns on tub tells the story there), door to balcony was full of cobwebs and the pool and sauna had cloudy water. Breakfast was ok, but having a bowl full of peeled hard boiled eggs that everyone had put their fingers in was kinda of gross. Overall the hotel is really showing it's age. At least the staff was friendly. For the price, there's better places to stay in the area.
“Very good for the price”
We stayed in this hotel for two nights when we came back for sightseeing the room was just as clean as when we first got there.. For the price we found this room very nice loved the heated pool however there was two hottubs but one was broken and we could never get in the second one everyone else was in it.. We would go back there again
“Have stayed at better places”
This hotel was OK, nothing great, just your basic motel. Getting old and worn, needs updating badly. Have stayed at other hotels in the area, this was not one of the better ones. Staff was freidly, that was the only good part of the stay. View was good over looking the lake, but you get the same view from other, better hotels in this area.
“Great time and Great location”
The Days Inn Lakefront in St. Ignace, MI was a great find. The value for the accommodations was fantastic. All the rooms are lakeside and offer a great view of Mackinaw Island. Also, it was very convenient to many spectacular attractions.
“Overwhelming musty odor and very outdated”
From the photos on their website I thought this looked like a pretty nice place to stay. I should know better. It was fairly clean but very outdated and the musty smell in our room and in the halls was very strong. There was dead bugs in the windowsill and around the patio door. The view of Lake Huron was very nice though. The breakfast buffet was just OK. Josh at the front desk was very nice. Due to the musty odor, I will not stay here again or recommend it to anyone.
“Too Late to Change Hotels...won't be back!”
Arrived too late in the evening to change our reservation. Would not have stayed if we had arrived early enough to see that the hotel is poorly maintained and is in need of remodeling/updating. The carpeting in the room was stained and appeared to only have been quickly vacuumed in the main paths. We found "stuff" on the floor along one side of the bed and table legs. The only good thing about the room was that the bathroom. It was the only thing in the hotel that appeared to be keep "like new". The hotel is in need of major updating.
“Good Hotel for the price and our expectations with one disapointment.”
This hotel was good for the price and our expectations, the indoor pool area is nice, breakfast was normal. We were atracted to the fact that all rooms have views of lake Huron, however it was a disapointment to find out it dos not have a sand beach with lake swimming as the description lead us to believe. I does have a nice lawn area next to the lake, but it is not a very comfortable swimming area.
