Great Anniversary spot

Pros: Smelled brand new when you opened the door.
Cons: Parking seemed crowded
Location: Close to all the action, but far enough away to be quiet.
This hotel is not as fancy as others in the area. The inside of the rooms have been remodeled recently. It smells like fresh sawed wood when you enter the rooms. It is cozy, clean, and convenient. Be sure to go to breakfast early (very good breakfast, by the way) because when they say 8:30, that means it is OVER at 8:30. They could use a few more parking spots, but that is the most negative aspect of our visit. I would recommend this hotel to others and would stay here again myself.

Two days in Machkinaw City

The Econo Lodge Bayview looks really nice from the main building and the nice new lodges/cabins behind it but we weren't so lucky to get one of them.We paid what I thought was a large enough amount of money for two days so thought when we got our room it would be nice. That wasn't the case,we got one of the OLD rooms in the back which had NO hairdryer, which I didn't bring and NO closet to hang your clothes and NO iron. After using the hottub the run stayed wet for the next two days, must of been leak somewhere in the pipes.Wouldn't recommend this hotel unless you were getting the NEW rooms.
