Close to downtown

Posted Jul 29, 2015
Pros: Had everything we wanted--first floor, refrigerator and microwave. Quiet and comfortable.
Cons: Room darkening drapes would be nice. Our room faced east and we got the early morning sun.
Location: Very close to a beautiful city park--beach, grass, shade, picnic tables, children's play area. Close to the ferries over to Mackinaw Island.
Very nice hotel located close to downtown Mackinaw City. The owner was extremely nice and accomodating. We left our jet ski in the parking lot a day ahead of time so we wouldn't have to pull it up to Pictured Rocks. She also went out of her way to accommodate our early arrival. We decided to stay an extra day!!

This was not what we are used too staying in. Room decor was very old and had a lot of bugs in it when we got there. Would not go back!

Pros: nothing
Cons: a lot pool should have been heated the rooms need work. and the breakfast wasn't good.

The room smelles musty or mildewy and the mattresses were older than I am. Had an allergic reaction to whatever they use for laundry soap in the sheets and towels. The continental breakfast is a joke.

Not great

Posted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: The staff was friendly. It was in a good location.
Cons: New beds and towels.
Location: If you take a ferry ride to Mackinaw Island and see that Arnold Ferry is only 18 dollars instead of 25 dollars, remember that Arnold takes 40 minutes
Older motel, really low quality towels and terrible beds. The beds are the cheapest you can buy. You can feel the springs and was very hard.

Enjoyed an overnight stay here. We heard our neighbors through the walk during the night but I just turned the air conditioner on and we slept great!
