Lovely site, situated between the lake and trees hillside. However, the decor was extremely dated, they really need a refresh. There must have been a group of children the first night and morning we were there, quite boisterous and lots of running around. However, that’s no reflection on the inn, just kids being kids.

The hotel was perfectly fine, just a little dated. The ad mentioned hotel and pool, and my mistake, I thought it was indoors, but it wasn't. I really liked being on the water and got some beautiful photos. The breakfast was sufficient and saved on going to a restaurant. Staff was very friendly and caring.

Worst Hotel/Inn ever
It was terrible. The first night, people above us had a "child" running around at midnight and beyond. Called front desk twice and it FINALLY stopped only to start again at 5:30AM. At 9 I went to the desk and told them refund the 2nd night and I'll find another hotel, or move me to another room. They moved me, but the heater in that room sounded like a jet engine ever time it started which was about every 4 minutes. Ran for 3 then stopped. Then started again. I ended up shutting it off so I could finally get a good night's sleep. The first room had a light in the shower drain! Hmmm. The 2nd room had a very, very, slow draining tub. Both rooms must have had 5 gallon hot water heaters. They ran out within 2 minutes of starting a shower. This is the 2nd Days Inn I've stayed in, in the last year, and both stays were nightmares. I WILL NEVER stay in a Days in again.NEVER!!! Spend a few bucks more and get a better Hotel.

Hello, we are sorry you feel that way. We were not informed about the heater in your room nor the drain or else we would have been able to accommodate further. As for the child running, we cannot help what our other guest do. All we can do is give them a call. Have a good day.

Just awful.I requested no steps and they gave me the lowest level which was like a basement.so humid inside it ruined my pills. Could not wash my hair there was no hair dryer. There was no alarm clock. I couldn't get ice for my drinks because I would have to go up about 20 steps. When I called hotel office, all she said was well that is the room you paid for. There is nothing I can do because you went through HOTEL.COM. She was very rude. The room on the lowest was so dark it was like a dungeon. We have gone there many times and never had such a horrible experience like that. Stay away from DAYS INN ST.IGNACE MICHIGAN!!!!!

Good place for quick overnight stay
Very comfortable and quiet. Only problem is that bathroom light switch goes off and on, and bathtub/shower handle very hard to get right temperature. Otherwise, very nice stay. Good continental breakfast. Would stay again.

Although a bit dated, the room was clean. Bed was comfortable, and the shower had great pressure. The view was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was disappointing.

Don’t waste your money.. this place is basic and no extra money has been spent to make it a pleasant stay. This place needs to be modernized and the bathroom needs attention.. Housekeeping was rude .

Hello, we have been updating the rooms. This is a hotel that was build 50 years ago and use to be named something else. It's now under new owners and management. As for the housekeeping, being polite to people goes a long way! Make sure to be kind to one another.

Free dildos next to the bed!
Found a dildo next to the bed, by the bedside table. Went to talk to the manager, was told to come back in the morning. Went back in the morning, was told the manager was at a doctors appointment and she took my name and number and was told they would call me back. Haven’t received a call back, no apologies, nothing. Makes me question to cleanliness of this hotel. Won’t be going back.

Hello, we have apologized for the incident regarding the object, and have had nothing like this ever happen here. This "item" was hidden and unfortunately if they are hiding well enough, we can't find them when cleaning with short staff. We do however have very clean rooms besides this little incident of the hidden object....

Bath tub would not drain , showered in about 3/4 foot of water every shower taken . Rather disgusting. Stayed 3 nights , room was never cleaned , only had clean towels for 2 days , and had to take all towels down to office to get fresh towels and wash clothes . ( which there was only one bath towel and no wash clothes . Given a pool towel the size for a small child . Not acceptable at all !!

Hello, we do state before check in that housekeeping does not enter your room. This is because we are not responsible for anything that happens to your belonging and that just makes most of our guest for comfortable. As well as being understaffed for the season. As well as those towels are the standard towel at all hotels. We are sorry that they were not bigger. The drain in the rooms do drain, some of our rooms are older so they have the pop-up drain! If you had any question about anything our office staff are available to answer all questions.

We stayed 2 nights at the days inn with our dog. Loved that it was dog friendly. Everything was very clean and the staff very nice. Our room had a beautiful view of the lake. Since our room was on the ground level, it was a little noisy. Mainly people above us and the older plumbing of the hotel. The hotel is just outside of town, but a short drive to restaurants and shopping. The continental breakfast was fresh and filling. We would stay here again.

We choose Days Inn for the price AND that it offered a hot tub (listed on Expedia's website). Front desk help was very nice, friendly & helpful. It was after check-in that we were told the hot tub was closed for the season! Disappointing at best. We were also disappointed to find a VERY limited number of TV channels available, maybe 20 total? (Carrier is Spectrum). Not that we were staying inside all day to watch TV but certainly wanted to do a little TV viewing in the evening & there wasn't much available to watch. It was obvious the carpet hadn't been vacuumed prior to our arrival. We did have a balcony room & the view was lovely. However, if we visit this area again, I do think we'd stay elsewhere.

Hello! We are sorry to inform our guest that our pool is closed for the season and that the Expedia website should show that, and we are sorry that it didn't! We will look into this further. As for the tv there should be over 100 + channels to choose from! In the beginning of the year, we got all new cable and internet. Which should come with all the channels on the TV guides that are in your rooms. We are slowly trying to update this little piece of history! Make sure to stop by and see the updates in the future if you choose to come back to St Ignace. Have a wonderful day!

The place is out dated and when we checked in they told me I did not have 2 identical rooms but thank goodness I printed out my confirmation. When they gave me our room I went to the door, walked in and took about 4-5 steps in and there were 2 purses and a bathroom light on. I slowly moved backwards and got out of there as soon as I could as I could have been shot. How they gave me a room that was already occupied is beyond me and the beds were made. They then gave me a room which was not next to my aunt and uncle but at least we did get one. They have this blue thing on the wall that glows and moves around and is very disruptive to your sleep. The whole place is out of the 70's with green toilet and tub and carpet is old. Just needs to be brought up to modern times. We did not eat there just slept and left. I would honestly not recommend this place to anyone. There are new hotels near by. Go to them

Hello Carol, we are sorry about your experience you had here with us, as for the danger of your life. We have never had a guest pull a weapon out on anyone. The crime rate in St Ignace is very small/ nonexistent. It is a very safe place for vacationing. As for the blue light that moved around, I am not entirely sure on what that could be. That is the first time that we are hearing about it! This is not something that is usual for our property. As for the property it's self we are a little piece of history! Our building is over 50 years old, and we are slowly trying to get it renovated into the new day and age!

Hello, we strive for cleanliness, if there was an issue with your room, we could have moved you as long as you told us during your stay and not after! We want to make sure all of our guest is comfortable and if there was a problem, we could fix it. And we have a lot of options for our "continental style" breakfast for our guest to choose from. Such as Pancakes, Oatmeal, Cereal, Toast, Muffins, Hardboiled Eggs, Bagels, and Fruit. Condiments like PeanutButter, jelly, syrup, and Cream cheese. Drinks such as Coffee, juice (Orange and Apple) tea, milk, and water.
