Pros: Close to the beach
Cons: Rooms could be updated
Location: Just down Huron St from tghe shops and ferry. Right on the beach so you can swim in Lake Huron or listen to the water.
Simple hotel, beds were hard and not very comfortable. Staff was pleasant. Rooms were spacious. Notihing to really wow you.

photos do lie

Don't beleive the pictures that suggest there is a beach that you can use. All it is is a bird santuary. Very diapointed.

Spacious room, decent price.

Posted Aug 23, 2014
After spending the night on the island, where the rooms tend to be more like a rented bedroom, it was so nice to stay in a large suite with a beautiful view. The beach itself could use some cleanup (covered in bird poop), but the rooms were great/clean, the location was ideal and the staff was very courteous. I would definitely recommend to a friend and stay again!

Great hotel, nice location, horrible breakfast

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Room itself, location, staff, beach, view, decent price.
Cons: The beach, needs sand to cover up the mud and grassy area. Better quality of food served for breakfast, or save the money and do not serve breakfast.
Location: Great location. So much to do and everything is so close.
I had a lovely visit. I was on the first floor and could walk right out onto the beach from the back door of my hotel room. So relaxing and beautiful. The beach could use some more sand as the grass and mud throw things off a bit, but still a great place. The breakfast was horrible. I suggest discarding the entire menu and not serving breakfast any longer. Not edible. The staff was great. The room very clean. I would definitely stay again. Oh, and I LOVED the fire pit idea. I will definitely have to rent one next time. You should add that info to your website. Had I of known about them in advance, I would have rented one.

Vacation

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: The room was clean and breakfast was ok.
Cons: Desk staff attitude and beach, pool.
In general good for a night, but overpriced. Desk attendant rude on multiple occasions, ask directions and seemed put out to give them. Breakfast was ok. They need to update the picture, obviously photoshopped the beach that does not exist, glad we did not want to use it.

Very nice large suite fully equipped with small porch on beach with view of Mackinaw Island and the bridge. Lovely breakfast buffet. Close to downtown and ferry docks.
