Old family-run English style hotelPosted Mar 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
Nifty old style English hotel, run by the 3rd generation of the Kee's family. Unfortunately we had a really bad time parking, since there was a wedding and the parking lot was rather small. We had no space to park but behind someone else (like everyone else had already done) - We then got a call at 1AM to move our car, which was a bit of a hassle. The breakfast buffet was very good and somehow made up for our late night wake-up call.

Picked Kees for the excellent restaurant, unfortunately it has been replaced. Everything was great, the staff as always extremely friendly and helpful. The food in the current restaurant was a very good standard although the menu lacks the imagination of the old one.

This was a very nice hotel; although it is a little off the beaten track to some of Ireland's more well-known attractions. The staff was very helpful and attentive, and we enjoyed our stay very much.

For price overrated, old and tired looking, staff as friendly as a bag of mozzies, if wasn't caught out would have researched better, would look elsewhere next time. If looking for a meal try Thai place across road exceptional

Good budget hotelPosted Sep 16, 2013
Pros: The pool and nice food
Cons: Decor of the rooms, replacement of the carpet and curtains. Bins are dirty
Location: We love the walk through the main street and over the bridge
Good service at reception. Big bedroom although dated its clean The restaurant offers a good variety quality food and we have enjoyed the food. We loved the swimming pool and Jacuzzi and as well good service provided as extra towels. Good heated pool and bedroom. Buffet breakfast was excellent. We will reurn again.

Nice hotel good valuePosted Aug 6, 2013
Overall solid hotel I'd recommend. Wifi was sketchy, and breakfast started late on the weekend. When available the breakfast was great. Also there is no AC which ordinarily doesn't matter in Ireland but this summer it does.

We enjoyed our short stay at Kees hotel very much, once we found our room. The hotel is very comfortable, but we found it a problem accessing our luggage to our room as it was not accessible from the lift, having to carry luggage up several flights of stairs.

Great place to stay...close to Ballybofey...can walk anywhere. I stayed during the heat wave in July 2013. The staff provided me with a fan. GREAT breakfast!
