“Haven in Stranraer”

After a train and ferry ride from Ireland, the Cross Haven is a great place to rest up instead of hurrying on up to Glasgow or other points in Scotland. This B&B is conveniently located 5 minutes from the ferry/train station, but outside the small downtown so there is no noise. The Cross Haven was originally a convent, but has been expanded and provides every amenity. It has very interesting Victorian architechtual details. For breakfast they offer the standard English breakfast, but also offer a number of excellent options including a excellent porridge. There were also fruit and yogurt. This is a great place to stay and the traveller can continue on to other destinations the next morning completely relaxed as we did.
