It was OKAY

Posted Jul 15, 2014
The stay was adequate, but wouldn't stay again. The mattresses were old and saggy and the wallpaper was coming off the room in the bathroom. Internet did not work one of the two days.

OverPriced

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: no noise
Cons: Take care of the maintenance issues described
Location: It is close to all the attractions that Lancaster is noted for.
After I had made my reservation which in my view was pretty expensive $149.00 I found an Expedia add on another website for $99. Both of these adds indicated it was the last room. When I called to see if I could get it for the $99 the individual who answered (in which I had a hard time understanding him) said to cancel mine a redo it. What would have been my guarantee that I would be able to get the room doing that. Sounds like a pretty shady way to run a business. The room would be more in line with the later price. The bath tub was plugged and two of the stop drains were broken.

Nice quiet place to get away

Overall this was a pleasant experience. We especially enjoyed sitting outside at the Fireside Tavern having a drink and watching the Amish drive by in their buggies. The farms are beautiful.

Great location on edge of Strasburg

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Central to all attractions yet off the main roads. Excellent breakfast included.
Cons: Had to carry suitcases up stairway to 2nd floor.
Location: Central to all attractions, Short walk to old town of Strasburg with a quaint 200 year old Evangelical Lutheran church with pipe organ.
Quiet location with great view of Amish fields across the road and the sound of steam train whistle in the background.

The hotel was convenient. The breakfast and Fireside Restaurant were very goodl. The rooms however were somewhat shabby alnd badly needed updating. The shower was good though.

Very enjoyable stay, great internet.

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: Internet, well kept, beautiful exterior
Cons: coffee
Location: Amish country exploration, Strasburg Railroad, numerous outlet malls and shopping areas, lots of restaurants to choose from.
The hotel was quaint, beautiful exterior and an amazing view. Very comfortable and well kept. The internet was exceptionally great. I've stayed at many hotels that cater to a business traveler audience and the internet isn't half as reliably fast. Will DEFINITELY stay here again on my next trip to Lancaster.

Decent overnight spot.

Pros: Employees
Cons: Windows, blinds OK but screens better to catch fresh air ... Exhaust fan for bathroom
Location: Decent location
Helpful people, but old buildings -- but clean, good restaurant next door ... best breakfast for this level of hotel ...

Nice place to stay

Posted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: Near shopping and had a bar on site.
Cons: Maybe update a little. Small things here and there.
Location: The outlets on Rt 30 is just 5 mins. down the road.
When we got in the room the heater was making a noise that we would not be able to sleep. I asked for another room and night clerk showed me another room and was nice and the heater made no noise. I thank him for understanding and we were happy. Very clean and nice place to go. We will come back.
