While the hotel had a great location and facility, I believe the bathrooms could use some improvement. The shower was too high/difficult to get in and toilet too close. Water kept coming out to floor as well. The breakfast was very good.

They can do better
It's a ok hotel, bathroom are very outdated, very small breakfast no hot milk is available at the restaurant, requested for just one small cup of hot milk, staff said have to wait for 5 minutes, waited for 30 minutes she never showed up, very disappointed

The lady we did the check inn was very nice. Althouth i book few month ago, we got the worst room. Noise from parking , steps from above etc. She moved us to a bigger and a qeute room after 1 night of no sleep. No elevator The breakfast is ok and the hotel is very clean

This hotel is just next to the stream. I could see snow covered peak. On Saturday night, there was music party over the night. It was too noisy.

If you stay here, request a room on top floor.
The staff were very friendly, when they were at the front desk. Both checking in, and checking out, I had to wait for someone to come to the front desk. When they did come, they were very friendly and super accommodating. They offer a dinner buffet and a breakfast buffet. Parking was easy and free. The room was pretty disappointing. It made me wonder if anyone checks the rooms for the basics. There was a light out in my bathroom, so putting my makeup on was a bit challenging. The hand soap in the bathroom was empty. The shower fluctuated from way too hot to not warm enough, without me even turning the temperature knob. There wasn’t anywhere to put any of your own toiletries in the shower, so that was a bit inconvenient. All of that, wasn’t that big of a deal. The reason my stay was uncomfortable, was the noise coming from upstairs. The walls are so thin and the people upstairs were loud way past 11. I could hear footsteps and a dripping noise of some sort. I was going to call the reception desk to have them call the guests above me, but I didn’t see a phone in the room. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t stay here again. If you stay here, you might want to request the top floor.

Gorgeous Hotel with great views and very kind staff! The breakfast is amazing too. The rooms are comfy. Definitely recommend a stay if you are passing through this beautiful town!!

Convenient hotel, helpful staff
Our plans changed last minute due to a road closure and we booked Hotel Stryn at short notice. The hotel was clean/tidy with convenient parking, and we had a great view of the river from our room/balcony. Special mention for the reception staff who were incredibly helpful and went above/beyond throughout our stay.

Good location but basic hotel.
The hotel is located in a beautiful area, but the hotel itself is very basic. Our room was very spartan and the bedding was basic - one very flat pillow and a far from luxurious duvet. The hotel has half the rooms with a good view, but the other half look straight on at ground level into a building materials warehouse and carpark - so we essentially had to keep the curtains shut at all times. The main annoyance was that we had selected a room with a bathtub but none was available and only a very basic shower unit. Not the end of the world! But after a long day we were both looking forward to a warm bath. The food in the breakfast area was ok - nothing to write home about but nothing bad.

Good hotel in small town
Don't be fooled by the hotel feature picture, the house in focus is an historical landmark and nothing to do with the outlook of the hotel, actually the hotel itself is quite decent good looking one. Very good location, walking minutes to the town center. Friendly staff, willing to help. good breakfast, quiet area, though try to avoid the buffet style supper, not much to choose from, comparing with the price paid. Bottom line, nice hotel and a good night sleep.

Nice hotel. Great location.
I had missed a ferry and was arriving late. The hotel called to make sure everything was OK. The hotel is very easy to find. Right by the 'main' road. There wasn't much parking left outside the hotel so had a small walk to check in. Still free (I hope) and no problems. Check in was easy. As for the negatives of the room, the bathtub was not properly installed so allowed water to go down the sides and onto the floor. Everything else was perfect. Good breakfast service - if anything, there was a poor selection of bread,

Beautiful fjords and mountains
The locale can't be beat for natural beauty. The nearby Loen Skylift is an absolute must. The service was excellent. Breakfast presented a wide selection of food. The wifi worked well and speedily. If there was any negative, it was the price and lack of a fan. The room was too warm at check in because of afternoon sun. It cooled off reasonably by bedtime. We experienced a heat wave and no hotels seemed to have a fan to move the air. I would stay here again but next time bring a small fan and lots of money.

the desk girl was as new as we were to Norway. That'll resolve with time. We had no information about what there was to do around Stryn until on our way out of town we discovered the stupendous Jostedalsbreen National Park, and had no time to explore at that point. Made us sick to drive away..... Some tourist information for the area would be great. Also by the end of the trip we though this hotel was a little pricey for what you got. The town was friendly with a couple places to eat, and the hotel breakfast was very good. Large selection of cold and hot foods for that meal.

It's nice to see that you had a pleasant stay with us. I'm sorry to hear that you didn't get much information about the things to see and do in the area. There is a turist informationsenter in the middel of Stryn sentrum, but since the girl working at the reseption at this time were new, she didn't have the time to learn about things in and around sentrum. I hope that you at some point can come back to Stryn to visit some of the things you didn't have time to, and that you are more than welcome back to our hotel!

Nice hotel in beatiful location!
We stayed for a week-end. We had a buffet as we arrived, which was very good. We noticed at once the very good attitude and service from the personal. The room we experienced as comfortable and nice. We misses a minibar/fridge, though. The location is really beautiful on the wide river. The whole concept is very recommendable, and we will love to stay there again.
