Warsaw, which is the national capital, is located 55 miles (89 kilometers) southeast of Strzegowo, while Gdansk is 120 miles (193 kilometers) to the northwest.
Strzegowo is not the only place in this popular region worth exploring; those with enough time can also rent a vehicle and set off to explore the magic of the surrounding scenery, cities and towns. Dzialdowo, is 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the south, and Lidzbark Welski sits 30 miles (48 kilometers) to the southeast.
Warsaw, is another good place to explore. It is 55 miles (89 kilometers) from Strzegowo and offers a great selection of things to see and do, like Polonia Stadium, Ujazdow Castle and Warsaw University Botanical Garden. St. Florian's Cathedral, Wilanow Palace and Museum of Pavilion X are just a handful of the other attractions in Warsaw.
There's no nicer way to get the core of a place than tasting the local cuisine. How about trying zrazy wołowe zawijane (dill cucumbers and onions wrapped in thin strips of beef) or pyzy z mięsem (round potato dumplings stuffed with meat)? Both dishes are a favorite choice in this region. After the main course has settled try the mouthwatering nalesniki (pancakes filled with sweet white cheese).
When it is time to leave Strzegowo, pack up your camera and mementos, spend your last of your zloties on last-minute souvenirs, and bid a fond Narazie (farewell) to this special place.
