Located less than a mile from Old Sturbridge Village, a renowned living-history museum, this easily accessible lakefront resort combines extensive conference facilities with an appealing array of recreational options. In addition to two informal restaurants, the resort offers a lounge with weekend entertainment. 20 meeting/conference rooms are available with function space rangeing from 12-person boardrooms to a divisible ballroom seating 700 theater-style. Recreation
An atrium shelters the freeform indoor pool. The resort also offers a narrow, sandy beach on Cedar Lake. In addition to swimming and sunbathing, guests can fish (gear not provided) or rent a paddle boat. An outdoor miniature-golf course and outdoor volleyball nets are also on site. A workout room on the premises includes cardio machines, free weights, a racquetball court, a basketball half-court, and aerobics classes.

“just ok”
The pictures are much better than the actual location. The walls are not very soundproof and the beds were not overly comfortable. For the price, this was a decent hotel but I would not be willing to pay any more than I did.
“tired and needs maintainence”
In order to use the elevator to access our room, we had the equivalent of a 3 city block walk and numerous doors to open and push the luggage cart through. The room was OK -- the toilet broke and was unusable.
“Worst hotel experience to date”
To begin, I have never written a bad review, but this was by far my worst hotel experience ever. Initially, I tried to book a room directly through the hotel, as I had a question about being able to use amenities prior to check-in, but after 20 minutes on hold, I decided to book through Expedia. On check-in, with my two toddlers in tow, I was ignored by the desk staff. There were 2 on duty & 3 parties checking in, so it wasn't that busy. I was eventually checked in by a desk clerk who refused to check the hotel's reservation system for availability for the next day. She then went on to chastise me for answering her question of if my children (sitting directly in front of her, one in a stroller and clearly toddlers) were under 12, with their actual ages. I was then sent, alone with my 2 children and luggage, on what I would later discover was the longest possible way to get to our room, which involved a trek down endless ratty hallways and a ride in a urine scented elevator. We were later awakened at midnight by a guest who had also been assigned our room, throughout the night by service workers yelling in the hallways, and showering after returning from the bar. We received a wake-up call intended for another at 5 am and ultimately ended leaving well before we had intended...to take a nap in our car after a restless night. We were forced to stay there due to a power outage with hurricane Irene - my apologies to those traveling for leisure purposes.

Just a quick, overnight stay, but would go back anytime we might need accommodations in the Sturbridge area.

We were there on business and were very surprised at how large the facility was. Our room had a living area with a TV and the king size bed was very comfortable.
“Pretty good for the area”
We were there for the Brimfield Antique Show and this hotel was very conveniently located, had beautiful views of the pond and a spacious room. The pool area was very nice as well. On the negative side, the bathroom needed updating, the tub drain was broken and breakfast was pretty bad. All in all it was OK and beats staying at a B&B with a shared bathrrom any day,
