Arrived at 10.30pm and found we were locked out, with no staff on duty. I checked my paperwork and it did not state anywhere that the reception was only manned until 10pm (which I subsequently discovered). We were lucky that a guest with an access key came along, otherwise we would have been stuck. When we got inside, at least our room keys were in an envelope at reception.
The rooms were EXTREMELY warm and too uncomfortably warm to sleep. I couldn't even sleep with the window open, as the hotel is built over a canal/river in the area of a kind of weir, where the sound of gushing water was unbearable with the window open (not to mention bugs attracted by the water entering the room.
That said, the bed and pillow was comfortable and breakfast was not bad. Bedroom floor was not carpeted, which I personally don't like the feel of in a room.
