Good option close to Porsche
Posted Jan 27, 2013
Pros: Close to Porsche museum
Cons: Parking not included
Location: Close to Porsche museum, bus station and edeka store.
It was a good experience, the hotel looks old but is still in good shape, breakfast is expensive but there are good options to eat nearby. Parking is not included which makes no sense to me.

Nice Hotel, Nice Location
Posted Jan 19, 2013
Pros: Good location
The hotel is a little far from downtown Stuttgart, but it is very easy to get to if you know the local area and trains. For a short trip to Stuttgart, I recommend the hotel. It is fairly priced and still comfortable and easily accessible to downtown.

Great value and location.

The location of this hotel to the Porsche museum and factory is what makes it the most attractive. It's a 5-10 minute walk and another 5 minutes to the Zuffenhausen train station. The hotel itself would be similar to a two-star hotel in the USA, but that's because it's fairly inexpensive per day and the rooms are small in size. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and quiet and I really had no complaints after staying two nights. If you are traveling with someone and their impression of the room matters, you may want to consider something a bit more upscale. Otherwise, if you just need a close hotel to stay at while enjoying the sights and sounds of Stuttgart, this is a budget conscious option.

Basic and clean hotel close to Porsche Museum in suburb of Stuttgart. OK for this low price, fine for overnight stay, not for anything else.

Visit for the Cannstatter Volksfest

This was my third visit to the Golden Leaf. Friendly staff, English spoken as my German is terrible. Great location, very quiet only a 6 minute stroll to and from the 2 train stations. Porsche museum at the end of the road for you petrol heads and Lidl's next door for snacks, water, etc. I will definitely use this hotel again.

Staff tried many times to push breakfast after being told no thank you, light switches too close to top of bed, had my own disco going all night long not a great night's rest.

Comfortable

Was very happy with our stay at this hotel, there are a couple of supermarket's nearby, walking distance, the S Bahn is about a 10 minute walk away and very easy to use. The room was comfortable with a fridge, the bathroom slightly small and could do with an update as the shower door was cracked and so was the soap dispenser. We got a bargain with this hotel and would stay here again.

We booked this hotel for the location - on the outskirts of the city as we were passing through. The hotel is fine, a little dated but clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. There is lots of onsite parking in their two underground garages (obviously with a price) but they are secure which gave us peace of mind with out bike. The hotel is within easy reach of a metro station and a 20 min journey into the city centre which is well worth the trip. It has payable wifi at 13 euros for 12 hours. We would stay there again.
