I wish I could give it no stars. When we arrived outside of the building, I did not want to go in. Property is located downtown right across from memorial park where all the homeless drug addicts are. From the outside the curtains looked yellow and the windows were old. I made attempts to cancel however the room was non refundable so against my better judgment we stayed the night. After checking into our room , we noticed how musty and old the building and room was. We could not find a decent temperature on the shower and the water drained slowly. I felt dirty coming out of the shower. The room is filled with poor fix ups seen throughout the room. Water damage, bad paint and repair jobs. Blankets and pillows are old and outdated. We asked for an extra blanket due to the room being cold. Was told one would come up in an half hour but no one ever came. As we were leaving to check out we overheard two cleaning lady’s talking. One advised that a guest had puked all over the shower curtain and bathroom. My husband used the side stair well to exit the building to smoke and he told me that it was dirty.. From his last smoke at night to his morning smoke there was drug paraphernalia. Someone was smoking pills in the hallway on tin foil - she attached pictures. When we confronted the owner, Vena acted surprised that there was drug use happening in the hotel and told us she would look at the cameras. We paid 216 for one night and wanted at least a partial refund back but told u

Do yourself a favour and DO NOT stay at this property. There were host of issues at this property: Breakfast: They serve expired food at the breakfast. Milk was expired. Please make sure you taste everything before feeding your kids. I had to suffer all day long with stomach problems. Front Desk: Rude and unfriendly. Charged us extra on our credit card and cannot even provide an email copy of the charge. Room: Lamps did not work. Heat was blowing cold air from one side. Heater made loud sounds as if we were sleeping next to a freight train. Hotel: Run down, dingy and dirty. Never staying at Best Western again. Will definitely go to a Hilton or Marriott brand hotels.

I loved that it’s downtown and you have options to walk to places instead of driving. Hotel room was great, love carpet instead of wood. They can definitely add more water pressure to the shower, make it look more modern, update the tv ( bluetooth friendly). It has a lot of potential if they update certain areas in the room.

Thought we’d stay at this property despite the reviews given that my wife and I worked there 20 years ago and we thought the nostalgia would be nice. It was a sketchy area 20 years ago and it’s worse now. Room was depressing and outdated. Not a place I’d stay again.

Parking was a bit of a nightmare as the lot across the street was full and the access to the few spots were blocked for quite a while. The car in blocking eventually moved and I was able to get a spot without further issue. Everything else was great. Hotel was clean and comfortable, staff were friendly, accomodating and wonderful. Would absolutely stay again!

Run!!! Safer to sleep on a park bench.
Booked 3 rooms for 3 nights for our employees working in the area. When they arrived at the hotel separately they were being confronted and harassed by a group hanging out in the parking lot that were sitting on guests cars. Our employees felt very unsafe and told front desk what happened and that they cannot stay. The hotel refused to refund any of the nights even though the policy states a 1 night penalty. We were charged for the entire stay as the manager refused to help. Feeling unsafe and being harassed on top of the horrible response from the hotel I would strongly recommend that nobody stays at this property. When our staff arrived at the job site they were told by employees that live around the area that this hotel is known for this. Hotels.com also was not able to get us a refund.

Always a great time
This is my choice hotel for Sudbury every time. The price is always reasonable, staff are very friendly and accommodating of any requests. The manager is always so very nice and truly cares about her guests. Located within walking distance of some fantastic restaurants and free easy parking are also a plus.

The walls are very thin we woke up often from people talking, room was clean but the sheets were stained and then changed and still stained, the building itself is pretty run down doesn’t have a very welcoming vibe but overall staff was good and the stay was fine

Shower leaked quite a bit onto the floor. Tub fitter bath moved a fair amount when standing in shower. Very obviously tub fitter tub. Room was not vacuumed prior to or during our stay. Table surfaces were not wiped before our arrival. Housekeeping did not come to the room at all. Beds not made and towels not replenished. Had to go to front desk and request more towels and then had to wait longer because all towels were in the dryer.

The cleaniest was not the greatest for the price i paid. I found stains on the CLEAN towels that were provided. Bathroom could be cleaner. The area around the hotel did not feel safe at all.

I frequent this hotel, the staff are always friendly. It’s located in not the best neighborhood but have never had any issues and always feel safe. Rooms are always acceptable and it’s nice and quiet in your room.

Great downtown hotel
Awesome little hotel in downtown sudbury. Staff was so nice and helpful. Allowed us to be within walking distance of the night life as well. Room was slightly smaller than expected but did exactly what we needed it too.

Good Downtown Hotel in difficult neighborhood
The room was good although it needed some servicing as the heat light in WR did not work nor did the bedside mini lights. The complimentary breakfast was very good with many options including eggs and sausage. The neighbourhood was the greatest problem along with the small parking lot where used needles littered the pavement and we watched varied street people check out cars from our window.

Room was not very clean and smelled of old smoke covered with a deodorant spray. Very disappointing for a bwplus….I thought they had a higher standard. Breakfast was not very good with all liquids watered down.

Polite and friendly staff. Room was not cleaned properly. Tub was dirty. Sheets were questionable. Rugs were not vacuumed. Bathroom floor not swept or cleaned. Kleenex empty. Stains on lamps Non functional lights. Scent of building/rooms were pungent. Area full of drug addicts and the homeless sadly 😭❤️🙏

Did not enjoy the stay. The hotel room itself was clean, but the hallways smelled like smoke and there were a lot of sketchy people walking around. The location is bad and we felt unsafe, and we were worried our cars would be broken into since the parking lot is surrounded by a homeless encampment.
