New beds, comfortable stay

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Beds.
Location: We were passing through. 'Big Nickel' is neat to see and located on the highway as you enter/head out of Sudbury.
Arrived late at night so were just sleeping there. The name has just changed along with the ownership and the beds. Our new beds were very comfortable for exhausted travellers. The room was quiet and comfortable. We did not experience the breakfast.

Older motel located in a poor area.

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Cons: Serve breakfast earlier. Did not start until 7 am and it started late.
Location: Not within walking distance to any eating places.
Door lock had old key that was difficult to work. TV also did not work. Room was clean and adequate size.

Very Good location and stay

Posted Jul 7, 2014
It was a very good experience for me. I was on a business trip and expected a quite and comfortable room but I got more then I expected. The room was neat and clean, the bed was very comfortable, the staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a nice breakfast in the morning and the wifi was also good. As the motel is situated on a slope of a hill so it was something unique. Overall it was a very nice experience and I will definately come back.

Meh

You get what you pay for. Having said that, there are better places for the same price. Early birds beware; breakfast isn't till 8am. Good central location.

Wonderful stay

Posted Jun 11, 2014
Pros: The hotel room
Cons: Prices
Location: Quiet area, close to Science north, within 15 mintues of barrydown mall. Close to another mall and restaurants
Stayed in the chateau suite with hot tub, staff were friendly and wonderful, continental breakfast was delicious. My only wish is that the room was cheaper.

OK Hotel

Posted Jun 6, 2014
Pros: The waffles!
Location: We were looking for a hotel close to the university and downtown and one that would be easy to get to. It fit the bill and was reasonably priced.
At first glance, this place is not appealing and we were reluctant about staying there. We were pleased to find our room clean and the front desk friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great and they had this waffle maker that was delicious. For the price, this hotel is a great deal.

Like a dungeon

Staff were friendly enough but the hotel is in desperate need of a make over. The mirror was propped up against the wall. Walls were paper thin. Bathroom taps were leaking. Bed was rock hard, couldn't use the fan in the bathroom for during a shower because it sounded like a cat stuck in a fan belt.
