The drapes were stationary and could therefore not be closed to prevent the parking lot lights from streaming in all night. While the location is convenient the road noise is very loud. Again, insulated drapes that can be closed would have made a significant difference.

We had a lovely room on the 4th floor; so it was quiet above. The layout of the room gave us plenty of space, yet felt cozy for two. The bathroom was spacious. The area outside the hotel needs to be paved, as potholes were plentiful!

Terrible place to stay, The hall carpets were dirty, and we weren't even on a pet-allowed floor. Adjacent road noise was extremely loud. AC unit even louder, sounding like an aircraft taking off when it came on. No adjustment available to a lower fan setting to reduce noise. Shower ran/dripped water all night as it could not be completely turned off. The pool was closed for maintenance but that fact was not disclosed when our booking made. So much for expecting a nice swim after a long day on the road! Staff generally surly but the breakfast lady was nice and the breakfast was excellent. Never again La Quinta Summersville!

This property is not well kept. Dirty and area around is full of weeds. No place to walk a dog unless it is half mountain goat. Pool was out of commision but staff didnt know when it would be repaired. Didn't have breakfast.
